My Native American father drew the Land O’Lakes maiden. She was never a stereotype.

And geez my memory is gone, but wasnt there a product featuring an Indian gal in a deerskin bikini? Maybe it was Hamms Beer.I remember the Springmaid Sheet ad with an attractive Native American girl and guy with the caption "A Buck Well Spent on a Springmaid Sheet".

Fauxcahontas lead Social Justice Tribe.
Give-um small pox blankets to symbols of Native American heritage.
Erase Red Man from history.

It’s a perverse set of mirror universe standards that are being created now. I told my wife - her grandfather was full-blooded Cherokee and her grandmother half Cherokee, and both lived on a reservation out west - and she just rolled her eyes and said, “Are you effing kidding me? OK, stop buying Land OLakes and get the store brand, as long as it’s real butter.” Here she is, part Cherokee herself, and she’s had it up to here with all this politically correct BS with Native American this and Indian Rights that. She wanted to punch Elizabeth Warren right in the snotbox for her whole Fauxcahontas yarn. The problem is, even if the backlash is massive, the damage is already done.

I have a pre PC carton in the freezer.
Will it become a collector's item?
Is value hurt if I have already removed a stick of butter?

My husband, an American Indian (what they call themselves when they’re not trying to be political) says that the picture of the Indian maiden is what made Land o Lakes butter special.

No; I changed nothing. I did excerpt from different locations in the article, though.
The Compost is on the
list of articles that we are permitted to excerpt just 300 words or less from.

I noticed now that the website is blocking most of the article now. More paywall tricks.

As a REAL Native American (rather than a 100% PHONY like “LYING LIZ” Warren) and a living direct descendant of Pocahontas, daughter of Deep Stream & his first wife Little Fawn, I do NOT understand this FOOLISHNESS by the smallest of minorities within the whole of Native People that DESPISE any representation of an Amer-Indian as somehow “JUST WRONG” or RACIST or any of several other possibilities..
Personally, I think that they should just CLOSE THEIR MOUTH, tend to their own business & GO AWAY.

Reminds me of one of those old bawdy postcards in the 1950s. A wore out warrior is going from tent to tent with a sweet young maiden at the door of each.
The caption was.. “Having a wonderful time on vacation, but a buck sure don’t last long around here!”
To: Olog-hai

I’ve heard that Land of Lakes and “I can’t Believe it’s Not Butter” are merging and they want to use Elisabeth Warren for their spokesperson. That’s just what I heard.
