Another article was posted discussing about 137 Emergency Powers available to the President during a National Emergency. He doesn't have to invoke them, but they are available.

Thanks Grimmy. I learned quite a few surprising things about NATO in the US from 2001-2005. I taught in a trade school in Wichita Falls. Quite a few of my students were Airmen from Sheppard AFB. Their uniforms even had that light blue flag instead of the US flag even tho they were US airmen. I loved my students but found many of the things they told me about being on a NATO base revolting. Apparently IIRC, they are under orders more from the UN than the US. At least that was my take on it. And I may be all wrong .

I really do not know the answer to your question. All I know is in a nationarl emgergency, president powers are very much expanded. As VP Pence said, presidential powers in a national emergency are “Plenary”, it was the same news briefing in which Trump also said he had much more power than he is using, that he could use.

I’ve posted an article that mentions 6 such presidential powers, and the the use of mil inside the USA after Hurricane Katrina was mentioned. But I never saw the article about 137 powers, could you direct me to it?

There was an article posted on the Forum that stated the Feds had stated that firearms and ammo business is essential. It was posted shortly after some of the states had decreed that those businesses had to be closed.
