Young and middle-aged people, barely sick with covid-19, are dying of strokes
Washington Post ^ | April 25, 2020 | Ariana Eunjung Cha

Doctors sound alarm about patients in their 30s and 40s left debilitated or dead. Some didn’t even know they were infected.

The man was among several recent stroke patients in their 30s to 40s who were all infected with the coronavirus. The median age for that type of severe stroke is 74.

As Oxley, an interventional neurologist, began the procedure to remove the clot, he observed something he had never seen before. On the monitors, the brain typically shows up as a tangle of black squiggles — “like a can of spaghetti,” he said — that provide a map of blood vessels. A clot shows up as a blank spot. As he used a needlelike device to pull out the clot, he saw new clots forming in real-time around it.

“This is crazy,” he remembers telling his boss.

The first time I’ve been frightened by this thing, if it’s true.

[They try but the worst bugs in the hospital are found in the plumbing of the ICU.]

That’s a revelation. I guess it’s completely true that a patient who’s conscious, somewhat ambulatory and no longer critical is best left to recuperate at home, providing there are people attending to his basic needs on a daily basis.

The best thing you can do for your patient is get them the hell out of the hospital. In the old days people looked at the hospital as sort of a “resort for recuperation” which is what the old hospitals were. The hospital I was an orderly in in the 60s didn’t HAVE an “ICU”, there was no such thing as a “code”. There was ONE cardiac monitor and it was in the Recovery Room. It used to be very difficult to get a 45 year old woman to go home after having her gall bladder removed a WEEK earlier. Now they send them home the next day and people are glad to go.

Medicine has changed a LOT in just my lifetime.

But consider, if my guess is correct, that the virus sheds lethality during the course of ONE infection in ONE patient wouldn’t you expect to see occurrences of the illness where people were just getting sicker and sicker and then suddenly it stops, like a switch? I would. And that is what all these “anecdotes” are about, IMHO. Watch the placebo controlled study now being proposed at South Carolina Med University. I bet there are Lazarus like anecdotes in the placebo group as well. Which may confuse those not thinking about “all the possibilities”.

Seems like an outlier, given that most accounts are of the virus hammering away at a patient’s defenses, until he can take no more and finally gives up the ghost. However, if the strains that permit Lazarus-like recoveries begin to predominate, perhaps that’s how the pandemic burns itself out.

As the strains circulating in public become benign the “illness” disappears. I’m praying for sometime in the next few weeks. Like a “hand of God” thing.

That’ pretty much what I was trying to say.

At some point even those in the high risk category are going to catch this highly contagious virus so the sooner a solid treatment plan, like the 3 drug cocktail is implemented, the better.

You mentioned 58,000 as the magic number. We’ll hit that in a few days. I’m concerned that the magic number was 4,000 - the Iraqi casualty threshold at which Obama defeated McCain and got majorities in both Houses, including the filibuster-proof Senate majority necessary to pass Obamacare. The financial crisis was just the icing on the cake for the Dems.

58,000 was a purely political number with no basis in fact whatsoever. I can almost hear somebody briefing somebody else, “If we act now we may be able to keep the deaths at 58,000”. Pure conjecture on my part.

Check out the MOS 37Alpha, their mission, their methods. Look around. EVERYBODY seems to have an agenda. It’s got to be very hard to sort out the crap. If the topic were economics I would be lost. I specifically recall it took me months to really understand “credit swaps” and I had to watch Anne Barnhardt’s vidoes repeatedly.

Now I see everybody is excited about a “YouTube Videos” of two doctors who are “telling it like it is.” I couldn’t help but notice they “own 7 Urgent Care Centers” that are hurting because they are closed. So they admit they are biased, which is good. My guess is they are basing their argument on the “Real CFR is 0.19% because there are 80 million, or whatever the number of “antibody positive” people there seem to be. I have yet to see good figures on just how specific the Antibody tests are, it seems there are a number of different ones and nobody is sure how specific they are which inis’t trivial because the “normal” virus is out there, people are exposed to it all the time and in no case has THAT virus ever caused “any clinical significance.”

So as compelling as their argument may be seems to me it’s just another argument. The “mood” of the country is going to turn out to coincide with that argument so it’s going to get a lot of support. Let’s hope they are correct. If the antibody tests they are basing it on are good they will be.

The mental games being played today are working because There isn’t but a few thinking people left in this country.

Common sense and logic died years ago.

Fauxci and Brix earned their sinecures on the back of AIDS patients, the medical personnel who treated them, hemophiliacs, and recipients of blood transfusions. They monetized AIDS to the tune of billions.

The MSM will do everything and anything they can to keep the lockdown and shutdown of America going as long as possible through October ... even if it means, as the U.N. recently forecasted, up to 32 countries face famine and death from mass starvation in the coming months because of the gross overreaction to the Chinese Virus by the developed world.

The MSM will also do whatever they can to hold governors and "the experts" blameless for the severe damage the lockdown/shutdown has done, the lives and businesses it has destroyed and the mass starvation that is expected ... reporting instead that the lockdown/shutdown was "caused by the virus".

This is a lie ... a vile lie. The lockdown/shutdown of America is the direct result of the overreaction to the threat of the Chinese Virus by "the experts" (who have been damnedably wrong in so very many of their predictions -- off by two orders of magnitude/more than 100 times! which scared Americans senseless in early March), and by the governors who relished their vast, new, self-anointed powers to control the people of their state.

No -- the Chinese Virus is not the cause of the lockdown/shutdown, it merely provided the "good reason" for the governors to implement the gut-destroying tyranny they so desperately hold onto to the present.

It’s the revolution.

Its the socialist revolution, yes, but I’ve come to realize it’s the transhumanist revolution.

That’s the goal. Make everything virtual reality.

Why did people used to think metals like aluminum couldn’t get in the BBB?

I don’t remember anybody seriously looking at Aluminum and the BBB. That was more of a “Conspiracy Theory” at the time. We were looking at a way to open the BBB and deliver poison to brain tumors.
