I thought the grocery store workers were ordered to wear masks in order to protect themselves. Funny sight as we checked out the other day as our checkers mask was below her nose so she could breathe. The manager was a few feet away pulling her own mask back over her nose and mouth. She said she had to answer her cell phone. Our bagger wiped his hand across the outside of his mask before bagging our groceries. Hes bagged my groceries at least three times over the past week.
To add to your point, part of the reason to encourage mask wearing is that people can be contagious without any symptoms...Masks help to mitigate asymptomatic spread.
Sorry about your co-worker, hope they get good medical care.
There is only one reason for a post like this. Either the poster is genuinely mentally retarded, to the point other people protecting themselves freaks him out, or it is malicious
Up thread I posited that the poster was drunk. He denied it, but said he was working on it. I think hes been working on getting drunk for several hours. But either way, being drunk or mentally retarded is an obvious reason for being so stupid.
If I meet you in the grocery store and Im wearing a mask, go ahead and laugh, better yet tell me Im terrified of anything.
Just once.....
Why would I laugh? I don’t think its funny, I think its sad. But I can tell you people are terrified and only care about themselves.
Tough guy.
The virus is not airborne....I repeat, the VIRUS IS NOT AIRBORNE. Those who wear the masks are frightening, because the only reason to wear one in a public setting is to protect others. If they are sick, they should not be out, which is what people are doing. Wearing masks to keep from spreading their sickness.
Wash your hands good, wash your face after, clean your items purchased, sanitize the cart handle, the scanner, the buttons and your card. Sanitize the gloves you are wearing after touching every item....sanitize the car handles....take off gloves....put new ones on when you get home...take groceries out and put them in the sink, wash them with bleach/soap water....put them away...launder your clothes, take a shower.....shoes outside.....
Frickin’ nation of Mice. All this over a scary new Flu.
A cruel, immature, mental and emotional midget shames people for wearing masks in public. This is a product of the "Me! Me! Me!" generation. These are the aging bully children.
When I see people wearing masks in public, I think they are being self-sufficient and productive. Perhaps they have an immune disorder or they are caring for high-risk members in their household. These people deserve a wide berth and an iota of social respect.
No, not tough guy. But not afraid to stand up to bullies or bullshit even if they are a lot larger or younger than me. Your flippant view that anyone who wears a mask is terrified is just as juvenile as the original poster.
Some of us care for seriously at risk family members - Im not about to risk their health for any jackass that thinks Im a puss for keeping them safe. If you dont like it great. But say it to my face in public?
Lets just say social distancing disappears in the blink of an eye then.
Grow up.
Here in LA, you are instructed to leave a venue if you do not wear a mask.
I have been tossed a few times including this morning.
We should ALWAYS laugh at him!
Just get sick and get it over with is what I say.
Before I bought one, I wore a scarf that was placed to cover my mouth.
Today bought one from hawkers in the street.
You may not enter any venue in LA without a mask.
I think you look better in a mask. Covers up that birthmark.
Listen jerk, I see the fear in peoples eyes every day. The same folks youre saying are trying to prevent the spread of the virus are leaving their used gloves, masks, wipes, and drink boxes all over the parking lot. EVERY day. Maybe you and yours are acting out of a sense of responsibility, but most people only care about themselves. Maybe you just cant handle the truth.
Now, show me where I made fun of anyone wearing a mask.
This is incorrect. Someone actually went to the trouble of finding out the truth on this matter, and the demonstrated findings pretty much prove that masks help quite a lot.
It may do that also, but it actually does reduce the risk of infection.
Reducing inhaled viral load would seemingly reduce the risk of a rapid virus progression. Getting a smaller dose of infection allows the body more time before the viral replication gets too big.
I've had a couple of military surplus gas masks sitting in a display case for years.
I was going to put one of them on and go to Walmart as a gag, but when I tried to do so, the rubber came apart. I didn't realize it would simply rot like it did. I should have left them in the bags in which they came when I bought them.
