That is what I found on a search. For example, the AARP web site said they helped broker a deal on the law that SS would share info with IRS. Direct deposit for SS would automatically apply for IRS even for those who did not file a return on 2018 and 2019. I am not sure about mailing of checks, but that provision is definitely part of the law.
As I said in my #1202, we can go to the 'get my payment' web site, but there is a caveat there that it is not a govt web site but a contractor - but security is guaranteed.
If others here have not received their stimulus checks I may wait a few days. If I don't have to send all my close personal info to a web site I would rather not.

Can I get a BOOM!
I point to the beatniks because, it is becoming clearer to me that, in the end it is us boomers who will save the Constitution under 4/10/20.
NOTE: Beatniks were the ones who stayed seated during the duck and cover exercises.
As a consequence of both the beatnik and hippie cultures, the government (specifically, public education) shoved “rights” down our throats; civics and American history become required by pubschool curricula in every State. Miranda was codified and everyone KNEW to keep their mouth shut to the Feds.
We, were taught:
- The history and necessity of the Founding Docuemnts: Declaration/Constitution/Bill O’Rights
- Preservation of civil rights (Practial application of the rule of law in society)
- Personal rights (Practical application of individual rights and protections under the Constitution; “what this means to YOU”).
In short, Boomers were provided a framework in which to “petition the government for redress of grievances”. Looking at how our older siblings were treated, we dug in our heels and used the Constitution to establish a framework for patriotism and America first. Besides we had to be better than those evil Soviets and the heathen Chinee.
Sadly, it didn’t take long for the BlackHats to co-opt us with, you know, that thing...money. Starting with, “You are going to retire some day and Social Security is going bankrupt. Let’s work together...it’s for your children.”
