Considering that the goal is to have a death rate of 1% or less, comparable to flu, 91% success would not seem to be that great a result. A 99.5 % rate would be more what I would hope for.

That doesn’t count all the milder cases that aren’t treated with the HCQ and survive.

Depends on who was selected for the study. If they were in final stages, it's great. I don't know, cause I haven't seen the study controls and don't have the expertise to properly interpret them.

Dang, we elected the wrong Obama. Malik tweets some good stuff, and doesn’t seem so in love with himself.

LOL. Sounds like me too. I almost never go any where from Christmas to mid April. After that, I might go to town once or twice a month.

Right!

and I started getting text message memes last week from friends about going stir crazy staying home. I had to think a second to figure out what was different about their lives. They are retired like me, where are they going anyway!

That followed Loop Capital analyst Alan Gould’s Wednesday downgrade to a “sell” in a report that concluded: “We think bankruptcy is a distinct possibility, and at a minimum, the company will require a highly-dilutive financing.”

I know a lot of people around here get up and go to the senior citizen center-buffet lunch for $3 bucks. Includes drink and dessert. If you go early, there’s line dancing lessons and other stuff.

I’ve just always preferred to stay at home. And I’ve never lacked for interesting and time consuming things to do. In fact, I could use a 50 hr. day and I’d still not have time to do all I want or need to do.

Same here. I’ve been dividing my time between getting my new raised beds prepared, containers prepared, finishing restocking firewood, cleaning up my woods, and pulling stumps from an area where I want to expand my lawn. We just got our kitchen completed! Yay and crap! I need to get all this done early so if I get re-hired or get another job I’m ready to go.

Same here. I never have enough hours.

After engaging my brain about why life would be different from my girlfriends it dawned on me, they all live nearer a city. Most are rural but within 20-30 minutes from "metro stuff." We live an hour from a city so that's a big difference. I just never realized everyone else partook in more frequent trips to town. Most of them have a little garden and do some sewing, crochet, quilting etc. But I guess I'd say theirs is more recreational than to sustain the household. They might can a batch of salsa or jelly but nothing to fill a pantry. I truly love my food production/preservation and mostly don't even think of it as work. Except I'm dog tired when I hit the bed.

We got a good rain starting mid-afternoon today. I came in from the garden, cooked supper then fell asleep about sundown while crocheting on a sweater for oldest daughter. Wide awake now. I did not get finished with my garden chores before the rain and now I'm ready for daylight to get back at it. Absolutely no desire to quit my hermit lifestyle. God bless this man I married who doesn't desire leaving home any more than me.

That’s the link you posted. Apparently, twitter wasn’t thrilled with the Kim Foxx connection.
