Yesterday's thread here:

Every time I find a new wacko conspiracy theory on CV on the web, a flu bro shows up here advocating it... :-)
What great memories you have of your glory days. Playing D-1 ball and a great university, absolutely the best!! Stay well for the next month or so. We have more road ahead of us!!
Thanks for that. Lot of interesting data too, e.g., most people hospitalized in the 60-69 age range
It has now been twenty five days since the Lombardy lockdown—so that give us some idea how long it takes for the lockdowns to start having a major impact on CV death numbers...
ENGLAND
42,990 cases; 4897 deaths

New projections for Alabama. Much lower than before and actuals to the 5th much lower than the updated modeling.
As I posted on another thread.
It’s whupping the 40-60yr olds a@@es.
Those are the people that we need to go back to work.
They will be most seriously affected since they aren’t retired, have to work, and are the ones who ‘run things’.
The 20-40yr olds can’t do it by themselves.
To be honest, Lombardy’s ‘lockdown’ wasn’t even close to one initially. Restaurants, bars, etc were still open. They ‘bargained’ themselves down to more of a ‘lockdown’ over time.
I just returned from my planned trip to Winn Dixie here in NW Florida Land. I’m proud to report that I was able to overcome my fear today. I used a bandanna with a coffee filter taped inside. I don’t know if it worked, I’ll find out in 6-10 days I suppose, but it did fog up my glasses, and made them fall off my face twice, which of course I had to use my hands to my face to return them there. D’oh!
But I also want to say that, upon further reflection, I think I am going to go against my nature and do my best not to, I guess, antagonize people with whom I’m not in agreement.
We are all going through this together. Some of us are angry and scared of this, and others of us are angry and scared at that, but this is weighing on everyone in every possible way.
Even those who I think are the worst of the worst for whatever reason are just doing what they think will best defend what they, specifically, are weakest too.
Mercy. That’s one of the things we’re going to need to win in the end. Mercy.
I’m going to try my best. I don’t need to be right. I’m just trying to stay alive like all others.

Italy reports 3599 new cases today, lowest number in 20 days driven by slowdown in Lombardy
The curve is definitely trending downward, but it is not a normal curve—the rise is quicker on the upside, and the reduction is slow on the downside.
Just saw an update on BoJo, on OANN...
UK is coming up with a Plan B, in case PM Boris Johnson does not pull through, with his COVID-19 infection.
:-(
Prayers.
I agree. Thats the hardest hit age group in GA in terms of hospitalizations for sure. The elderly may die at a higher rate, but they pass away relatively quickly. The people 2-3 weeks in hospitals arent the elderly.
Thats the age of the business owner, and many have kids/ teens at home as well are taking care of their own parents. They are really the engine of society in many ways.
As somebody who could never hit the curve ball, I can relate.
Fast balls and sliders I would put over the fence so nobody would ever pitch them to me.
The most I could do with the curve was blooper to the infield.
The knuckleball was way out of my league.
I’m only seeing that report on outlier news outlets, right now, so praying that Boris is hanging tough and will kick this....and, that he’s in hospital out of ‘an abundance of caution’.
Yep.
