Dear Lord, please protect Boris Johnson from this infernal beast.

Amen.

I feel dread.

I’ve recently read the virus seems to be hitting African Americans especially hard for some reason.

Is my memory correct that less than half who go on the vent get off the vent alive?

Covid-19: four fifths of cases are asymptomatic, China figures indicate...

This is why everyone needs to wear a mask. Please go back to my postings to see how long I have been saying this.

With everyone wearing a mask, and the new testing technologies, America can overcome this virus.

“back flow infections”

That will be a problem. I think other countries are getting that now. Not sure how they would address that.

Obesity, HBP and diabetes.

“This is why everyone needs to wear a mask.”

This is a very valid point. I think the new testing technology is 15 mins for results.

Cameron Kyle-Sidell, MD, a critical care physician in New York City, has been sounding the alarm urging healthcare professionals to consider that COVID-19 acts less like typical acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and more like high-altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE).

And evidently poor social distancing.

The ventilation survival rate ranges from one in 7 (14%) to 50%. The latter is in Seattle where they have a lot of experience and can better choose which CV19 victims can most benefit from ventilation.

I am not aware of any ventilation survival rates above 33% save in Seattle.

Exactly. The masks are not to stop you from getting the virus. They are to stop you from giving the virus to someone else. Even homemade masks are very helpful in stopping the spread.

Wear a mask to stop the spread if you are an asymptomatic carrier.

Use the fast test to see if someone is infected before letting them go back to work.

Use cell phone contact tracing to find the people that infected people have contacted.

This is the only way to kill this virus.

Smug, credential-bound, condescending. Red Flag.

Things don't have to be peer reviewed to give useful information.

And credentials aren't a sufficient guarantee of correctness.

cf Dr. Fauci's early predictions, and his continued *ahem* "resistance" to anti-malarial drugs.

Or that Harvard cardiologist who was caught faking research papers when someone noticed that, according to a table in one of his papers, one of his patients was only seven years old.

Or, speaking of Harvard, the chair of their Chem Dept. who was arrested for getting money under the table for work with China, including helping to set up a lab in Wuhan.

I believe you are looking at some journalist's misquotation of the Chinese numbers. Their figure for 80% was for COMBINED minor symptoms and no symptoms.

AFAIK, the reported numbers for asymptomatic vary from 50-55%, for minor symptoms from 25-30%, for severe from 12-15%, and for critical from 5-8k%.

Thanks for the post.

Supporting data came out from Medscape and the glycated hemoglobin in the past paper I posted before.

COVID-19 Daily: Ventilator Protocols Questioned, Physician Rights

COVID-19 Disease: ORF8 and Surface Glycoprotein Inhibit Heme Metabolism by Binding to Porphyrin

The indication of secondary lung infection by Prevotella is substantiated by the anaerobic and high glucose conditions of the viral infection and at risk populations with insulin resistance.

You don't have to have a high BMI to be insulin resistance. This is common amongst the aged and frail who are "Thin Outside, Fat Inside" (TOFI).
