Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Republican challenger, Dalia al Aqidi, criticized Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for injecting race into the coronavirus pandemic discussion.
“COVID deaths are disproportionately spiking in Black + Brown communities,” Ocasio-Cortez, who is a member of "the Squad" along with Omar, said on Twitter. “Why? Because the chronic toll of redlining, environmental racism, wealth gap, etc. ARE underlying health conditions.”
“Inequality is a comorbidity. COVID relief should be drafted with a lens of reparations," she added.
Al Aqidi responded by asking for evidence of Ocasio-Cortez’s claim and accusing the New York congresswoman of trying to divide the country.
“Where is the evidence for this?” she asked. “AOC and her sidekick Ilhan Omar do nothing but tear at the fabric of America, and stoke racial grievance. It does nothing but set us against each other. We can’t afford that now. Hasn’t America had enough of this?”

Dalia al Aqidi is really terrific. I hope she beats the pants off of Omar.
Other Republicans should take a clue from her. People are tired of the incessant discord in DC, mostly due to Dems spouting off. They ought to be out there challenging their ‘tone’ while allowing for differences of opinion.

But we need it. We are so used to the RINO’s just letting the rats have their way while we get screwed over and over and again and again.
I have ZERO interest in having any muslim in office. They lie. It is part of their religion.

Ok, I half get it. Dalia al Aqidi is a Republican, a conservative and a Trump supporter. Call me old fashioned, but look at the track record for female Republicans. I’m sure someone will correct me and give me a good example, but Mitt Romney and John McCain come to mind, along with Murkowski and Collins. I won’t vote for a female based on their track records, unless it is the only option left. I won’t vote for a Muslim, period. Islam in all of its forms is antithetical to Western Civilization. Certainly there are some good Muslims, ones that call themselves Muslim, but those that do not fully believe in the dogma of their religion. This is in itself tells you about a person’s convictions. Would you vote for a faggot transvestite that calls himself a devout Baptist? Just illustrating the absurd by being absurd as Rush would say.
Obviously, AOC has not looked at the facts, that he GREAT majority of deaths from COVID-19 have been the elderly, already in compromised health. That includes blacks & whites about equally. As you age, your body is not able to cope adequately with viral strains that are new. They cannot make antibodies fast enough to begin to protect the person from the results of the virus.
Yes. many healthcare people have also died from the virus, but were likely infected before they were issued protective gear. Remember that this virus has up to a 21 day incubation period. If you are asymptomatic, you are likely to think you are safe. It’s once you develop symptoms that you realize the possibility of dire consequences. But many are surviving this thing. Healthcare workers are not perfect specimens walking around asymptomatic from all possible diseases, as many of them have also suffered from many bouts of pneumonia or bronchitis in the past, or even COPD from smoking, etc....not to exclude drug use.
It looks like this virus may wipe out many of the most susceptible from our population this time around, but what about the next one? Will it attack the weakest the most and who will be the most weakest then? The Corona survivors today? To me, it seems like the more we disengage from China, the better, as they seem to be making these viral warfare devices and releasing them on the unsuspecting populations of the world. It is not the failure of other political leaders...where was the outrage towards Obama(?). but the continued commerce with China. We don’t need cheap, poor quality items to decorate or adorn our homes. It’s time to use real, safe products made in America, maybe more costly for a while until manufacturing gets back up to speed, but to stop the flow of virus-laden supplies. Not only that, but restrict severely the entry of Chinese into America. Why do we need their Communist propaganda anyway?
Whatever you may say about Sharia law, it does not encompass American Commie style racial grievance politics.
