There’s no easy way for me to put this, so I’m just going to flat-out say it: Right now, the state of the world has reached dystopian levels. The coronavirus is infecting thousands daily, quarantines and social distancing efforts are predicted to be in effect until at least April 30 in the United States, and hand sanitizers and disinfecting wipes have become rare precious jewels to hoard.
But while the world was completely tuned in to the news and the government’s next steps in the battle of COVID-19, I was completely tuned out. In the midst of the madness, I found out I was seven weeks pregnant and facing the reality of trying to get an abortion during a global pandemic.
Two positive pregnancy tests stared back at me during one of the most horrific times in global history. The world was preparing to go on lockdown, everyone was dousing themselves in disinfectant spray, and I couldn’t fathom any of it due to the constant knowledge that I was pregnant.

That I wanted to get an abortion was never a question: I barely knew the person who got me pregnant, I have fertility issues that could cause trouble if I decided to carry to term, and most important, I’m in no way prepared to have a child—especially now that the world is falling apart. But getting an abortion pre-coronavirus was nearly impossible for many women—the thought of getting one during a pandemic was terrifying.

Nothing like the brutal reality of getting your limbs ripped apart as a small baby.
Since this is a pandemic and people are dying, why not just have the baby and replace one of the dead?
During a real pandemic, killing your child is the last thing you should be thinking of. We need to be thinking of repopulating our communities after the pandemic is over. After all, it took Europe’s population a hundred and fifty years to recover from the Black Death.

A girl I’m close to was raped 19 years ago.
I met the boy when he was 15. Three years of HELL later he is in jobcorps and doing well. Getting his GED, learning to drive and learning carpentry.
Picked him up at the precinct twice, almost came to blows a million times, disrespectful the first few months.
That wasn’t lasting. I finally told him there’s only ONE alpha dog around here and it’s not you!
He slowly turned around.
He’s respectful now. No trouble with the law. Really trying at jobcorps. Even told me he had to sign off email because it was curfew time. I almost fainted :)
I’m close to this girl. It HURTS to think of her being raped. No, it Destroys me inside and so I pray to let it go. Thinking about it helps no one.
But the kid didn’t do anything.
I’m human. A few times I thought “he’s got half his gene from a rapist!!”
And when he shows good qualities, are those genes that gave him good qualities from his father and what do you say?
Oh you’re athletic so your father must have been.
What I do is just look at him as separate fro that incident.
And he is who HE IS. Not who his mom or the rapist is.
It’s one of the best things I’ve done with my life and I don’t regret it.
Don’t judge me for the conflicts please.
It’s a helluva situation to go through.
But he’s gonna be ok and have a good life.
And that’s all that matters in the end.

The lease on my car ended on Feb 20. Due to the pandemic I have been unable to get a new car. Showrooms are closed and cash it tight. The brutal reality of having my wife drive me to work and back.

Yes they do! I’ve read about them having multiple abortions when there are women who can’t get pregnant and want a baby. So unfair.
To some degree and respects this story is true.
it’s probably easier to get pregnant than to catch the Wuhan coronavirus.
