I don't have a clue what you're referring to above.

However, allow me to point something out to you:

In the graph, generated on the 31, the date I posted the Sweden comments (see above), if you look at April 2 (squint your eyes), you will see the number 292 underneath 2-Apr.

Keep the projected number 292 in your mind as you go to https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries. Once you're there, scroll down until you find Sweden. Btw, the numbers you are seeing, if you go there now, are for today, April 2. Look in the total deaths column. There you will find the number 308.

292 projected vs 308 actual is a pretty accurate projection, I'd say.

I have to laugh a little. These folks complaining about PPE seem to think there is a magic warehouse somewhere where these masks are just sitting there.

Don’t they realize the are NO masks or gowns in the system right now.

I guess if they want to point this out..that’s fine. But it doesn’t make them appear. And it’s not anyone’s “fault.”

I do want to be clear on what I mean by “deeply understand the data”.

We have learned (after working very hard and looking at a wide variety of sources) that death rates from CV are affected by the following:

—Amount of initial viral dose *
—Quality of health care available and provided
—Underlying health care conditions (long list which should include obesity)
—Age

*This is often a function of availability and quality of PPEs for health care workers and the general public

These are _not_ static indicators. For example, a health care system may be in excellent shape at the beginning of an outbreak but may collapse as the number of cases overwhelms the health care system.

Mitigation measures (such as masks) can lower the death rate as they are put in place.

So, when you measure death rates you are looking at apples, oranges, peaches and grapefruits....

said, "if you don’t deeply understand the data, it is totally meaningless. If you have better sources of data, provide them."
BINGO! We have a winner!

I can't find a source that isn't directed by China. What the heck is that about?
From getHub source which is Johns Hopkins University Center for Systems Science and Engineering it says,

"Before manually updating the dashboard, we confirm the case numbers using regional and local health departments, namely the China CDC (CCDC)"

They're trusted by a lot of news agencies. After researching who appeared to have the best source for data, some of the most screwed up sources were our own CDC, who charge $6K and demand a written proposal, btw, for access. And even JHU data was out-a-wack.

But I think I've got a read on where you're coming from and where you're headed. You're the typical disingenuous loudmouth looking to prove some ideological point instead of searching for the truth. I found that attempting to present evidence of fact to such an individual to be a complete waste of time in 99.9% of the incidences.

Have a good one...

I’m on the spectrum of it isn’t a hoax. It is very serious, more serious than the flu by a significant factor, but it isn’t the Black Plague either.

I noticed that your Sweden numbers are correct so far. Your world figure is way off the mark.

I continue to be ASTOUNDED by the logistical capacity of the United States

Whether it be private enterprise, from major manufacturers to the local shop owner, the bedrock of the the nation continues to deliver.

But here is a special call out for those who continue to deliver all home utilities...sewer, water, power, gas and internet. We are sitting pretty here.

And another call out for those producing and delivering goods, especially food and water, throughout the nation. Already almost every storefront in the US is fully stocked, and home deliveries are easily double past months. Maybe more. I know in CA half the vehicles or more on the Freeways are trucks. Who has ever seen some many trucks?

And finally, the most significant of all has been the recent leadership by POTUS and VPOTUS and the entire Task Force Team.

Uncle Sam is looking competent, at worst.

“Sweden Begins To Abandon Liberal Coronavirus Approach As Deaths Surge”

Thanks, better late than never. Not many role models left for the FluBros (and they know it). Let’s see if they take up immigration now...LOL!

“New York City is now advising residents to cover their nose and mouth with a scarf, bandana, or a piece of clothing while out in public to limit the spread of coronavirus”

A start. Too bad CDC says masks don’t work, or they may consider that too.

The CDC now lists “new confusion or inability to arouse” among the COVID-19 warning signs that should prompt action. You should contact your doctor if you or someone in your care is experiencing abnormal confusion and seizures. “You don’t feel your best when you have a fever, but you should be able to interact normally,” Dr. Frontera told The Times, warning people not to call 911 just because they’re concerned. “You should be able to answer questions and converse in a normal fashion.”

Physicians treating new neurological cases should also take into account the possibility that the symptoms may have been caused by COVID-19 and take measures to protect themselves. As telling as these symptoms may be though, they do not appear in all COVID-19 patients, which means the disease can only be diagnosed correctly with a test.

Therein is prima facie proof that this is all a feminist conspiracy to kill off men.

Especially us grey beards.

No doubt they envision frolicking with the pool boy while sipping martinis alongside the pool. Or with the sweet little Latina cook.

I'm not sure where else you expect them to get the numbers for China, if not from Chinese sources.
Before manually updating the dashboard, we confirm the case numbers using regional and local health departments, namely the China CDC (CCDC), Hong Kong Department of Health, Macau Government, Taiwan CDC, European CDC (ECDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as city and state level health authorities. For city level case reports in the U.S., Australia, and Canada, which we began reporting on February 1, we rely on the US CDC, Government of Canada, Australia Government Department of Health and various state or territory health authorities. All manual updates (outside mainland China) are coordinated by a team at JHU.
But yes, they are allowing China to have full control of their own numbers, and we know those are highly suspect.

scarf, bandana, or a piece of clothing while out in public to limit the spread of coronavirus

I guess it is unfair to nitpick at this point, but one reason this is also important is to lower the viral load (even if the PPE fails). That gives the immune system a better chance to fight the virus with generally better outcomes, including lowering the rate of hospitalization.

“The CDC now lists “new confusion or inability to arouse” among the COVID-19 warning signs that should prompt action.”

I guess by that definition, CDC doesn’t need to be tested, since their confusion is the result of decades of NOT DOING THEIR JOB.

Because Sweden has not, largely, encumbered itself with mitigation to any extent.

The ‘world’, though, has.
