It’s all just to make people feel good anyway.
Wonk, Wunk, Wonk, Wink...said Charlie Brown’s science teacher.
The MRS has worked in the post office the entire time and not a single employee or rural carrier has contracted this virus, or if they have, they havent missed work.
What does that tell anyone?
I’ve been using Clorox wipes instead of toilet paper for nearly a decade. Remember, a clean ass is a happy ass./s
I don’t believe there is any WIPE that leaves the surface wet for 3-4 minutes.
Kind of like the dummies wearing masks that don’t fit, but, hey, they got their magical masks and are conforming to the public superstition.
My wife bought a 5-pack last night on the way home from work!
CA....
I live alone. I have no family or kids to visit. I have been medically housebound since 2013. Since I am the only one there, and am the cook, laundry maid, and trashman, for all these years, why should i get hyper over how i clean my counters?
Bingo! Wipes, by definition, are seldom used properly. Better than nothing is the best you can say about them and are more effective against bacteria. Viruses require longer contact, 2-4 minutes depending on what’s being used, but need to be sprayed on. A bleach solution in a household sprayer is comparably effective as a medical grade disinfectant like say, Cavacide, if used properly. Trouble is people are lazy or ignorant when it comes to properly diluting concentrates. I’m not a doctor but as a medical facility purchaser I was charged with presenting different products to our medical staff for decisions on products to use and making recommendations based upon my research and their expertise.
Sounds about as effective as wiping with water.
It’s nice to be backed up by a pro!
I’m not too worried about the inside of my home because its been free from visitors for 3-4 weeks. My husband and I use alcohol soaked paper towels in a zip lock whenever we run a quick errand.
I have the N95 masks from scraping lead paint attic work in an old house. We gave a good one looks like an atomic bomb aftermath mask to a doctor that works in ER as well as some P95’s.
I can tell media is acting like we aren’t allowed to use a product we have had for 3 damn years. Lots of messaging on using fabric, etc..I will use my lead paint flaked out N95 mask Thank You Very Much!
Actually, one CANNOT kill a virus; they aren’t alive. They need to be disassembled, or destroyed.
I have bottle of hydrogen peroxide that I use for one of my projects.
Surprised you even have an ass left to wipe.
Probably not many of the folks frothing at the mouth for masks.
Sigh.
and soap is really good for disolving the protective layer of viruses, which is why 20 seconds of washing with soap and water is very effective.
On the other hand, if you wipe a surface before touching it, you are likely to be able to wipe up any particulates that have the virus. Which is really the bigger danger, not that some bits of virus are adhered to a surface, but that a bit of spit is sitting there teeming with virus.
Most people can’t find Clorox Wipes.
If you read FR in early January, you could have had a couple of cases delivered by amazon.
Yes, wipe the surface and let it AIR DRY for the best effectivness.
