Italy = 60 million
US= 300 million (5x Italy)

all other countries << 300 million.
A per capita graph would be interesting.

My daughter’s HS classmate and a onetime neighbor is an ER doc in Brooklyn. She came down with a cough. Self Q’ed in her apartment for four days before calling her boss and asking for help as she had a fever and was very short of breath. Her boss arrived, took her in his car while he wore PPE to the hospital. They gave her high volume O2 which helped. They ICUed her and immediately gave her HCQ and ZPack which continued for five days. On day 6 she was released to return home. This was ten days ago. So two weeks ago a Brooklyn hospital used HCQ as a first treatment in ICU.

We should ignore the Chinese data and disregard the Chinese curve. But we should not disregard the rest of the analysis just because it includes one set of data from China. That will be like the media disregarding all of the HCQ+ZPAK results because they are “tainted” by some association with Trump.

I look at this first graph and it makes me believe that nationwide lockdowns haven’t had any effect except in Korea. However, even in Korea, the growth rate was already declining, so probably the lockdown had little consequence. Hopefully when all of this is done, someone will do a study on the effect of lockdowns so we will never repeat the same mistakes we made this time around.

Where is a copy of the email that has been sent to all hospitals that outline the treatment with HC? It doesn't exist, there is no coordinated effort to stem this tide using HC.

Here is the letter the CDC has posted on their website on therapeutic interventions for Covid-19.

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/therapeutic-options.html

It includes the following on HCQ:

ased upon limited in-vitro and anecdotal data, chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine are currently recommended for treatment of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in several countries. Both chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine have known safety profiles with the main concerns being cardiotoxicity (prolonged QT syndrome) with prolonged use in patients with hepatic or renal dysfunction and immunosuppression but have been reportedly well-tolerated in COVID-19 patients. Due to higher in-vitro activity against SARS-CoV-2 and its wider availability in the United States compared with chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine has been administered to hospitalized COVID-19 patients on an uncontrolled basis in multiple countries, including in the United States.

One small study reported that hydroxychloroquine alone or in combination with azithromycin reduced detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in upper respiratory tract specimens compared with a non-randomized control group but did not assess clinical benefit

Sadly, there are some who still are convinced there is a conspiracy to NOT use these drugs, regardless of whether they work or not, just to hurt Trump.

I’ll attempt to get this thread back on track.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. Trump announced this on March 20, twelve days ago. Why wasn’t this tested SOMEWHERE immediately? There’s been no study I’ve heard of anywhere in the world that attempts to replicate the results. Is the entire worldwide medical profession so “smart” they’re all a bunch of idiots?

I’m also amazed that the corrupt, lying, deceiving fake media continue in their ways even in this. The headlines and articles are only about hydroxychloroquine and maybe AZ/zPack (same thing), implying that’s the whole cure when it’s not. Even Trump didn’t mention zinc. The only article I read including zinc was about how Snopes said this cure was “unproven”, which appears to be the case.

Rudy Giuliani had the inventor of the “cocktail” on his Common Sense video 3 days ago. Is it a scam? The guy has some other condition that requires isolation. Is it anti-semitism? The guy is Jewish and created this in a Jewish community.

Is big pharma suppressing the cure? The 5-day treatment costs $20. Twenty bucks!

Why did it take the FDA 10 days to approve the use of a substance that was already approved?

Why are governors banning its use, potentially sentencing the sick to death?

We deserve THE TRUTH. If this doesn’t work, then move on. Until then it should have already been widely used and tested.

Right now America is held hostage to a virus and fear of death. This could be the #1 thing that opens the door, at least allowing some, if not many or even most, to return to productive work.

Wow... Not one mention of zinc.

The easy-to-understand theory is that zinc is THE active agent, but zinc alone doesn’t enter the cell. Hydroxychloroquine opens a channel for the zinc to enter and do its job. The AZ/zPack keeps lethal bacteria at bay that spread in a weakened immune system.

“Well we were wondering why we didn’t get results from NY last week.”

President Trump said in yesterday’s presser that it was too soon for NY results ... it’s a five day course, and then the data has to be gathered, compiled and analyzed ... no one is “blocking” anything in the NY trial ...

Oh it’s not *just* to harm Trump, it’s also to line the pockets of big pharma and their lobbyists.

From Cuomo’s EO:

No pharmacist shall dispense hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine except when written as prescribed for an FDA-approved indication; or as part of a state approved clinical trial related to COVID-19 for a patient who has tested positive for COVID-19, with such test result documented as part of the prescription. No other experimental or prophylactic use shall be permitted, and any permitted prescription is limited to one fourteen day prescription with no refills.

I think 88 might have gone to just Sumner Regional. They were set up to have as many as 100 CV patients. Don’t know the actual number. The word is an infected employee came into work with a slight fever for more than one day. I don’t know anything about the situation of the employee so I withhold judgement as they may have been the sole breadwinner of the house that was barely getting by and felt he/she HAD to work.

Trump said yesterday that 1100 people in New York are being treated with Chloroquine, if Cuomo stopped this this then he (or someone) is lying to Trump

"Using it only on the sickest patients." When the efficacy of HCQ is based on preventing the progression to the cytokine storm which destroys the lungs through inflammation.

So they're going to wait until the lungs ARE fully inflamed, and THEN use the HCQ? Proving:

We are already at 463 deaths today, will probably close out at between 1,500 - 2000 dead today. I am shocked that they aren't treating at the first sign of Respiratory distress as the studies that are completed suggest. We are heading for an absolute disaster because of this. I am so disappointed for our nation.
