I know that in the fallout from the ravelry apocalypse, a lot of designers chose lovecrafts because they are working to protect intellectual property.
Ravelry did not invest effort in protecting designers from having their designs stolen by other users and reposted as their own.

Anyone here have experience growing cotton in a northern climate?
I’m experimenting with a few fiber plants in my garden this year. I even found a source for heirloom cotton seeds! I bought 3 different colors: brown, green, and white. But I know that cotton needs a long growing season, so I’m kind of winging it. The seeds are being started indoors, then will be transplanted after the danger of frost has passed. I have no idea how well cotton handles transplanting, or if starting them indoors will give them enough of a jump-start to make it to harvest.
I’m also growing a few flax plants, but I know those will grow here.
That apron would be handy for so many things, especially while we’re all on Lock Down and have been essentially sent to our rooms!
Vitamins, hand sanitizer, pump foaming soap, TV remote, extra roll of TP, a chocolate bar, mini wine bottles, etc. ;)

The egg-apron pattern could easily be adapted to have different sized pockets or you could sew them in a different configuration on the body of the apron. I like the items you were listing to fill the pockets! :-)

Great tutorial with photos. I’m wondering if these face masks will be the New New Thing? Will we be wearing them beyond this quarantine? Will they become a fashion accessory like Hair Scrunchies or Slouch Socks?

Thanks to Mason-Dixon for the link and suggestion. My Mom and her friend committed to making 50 masks each for local nursing homes. My Mom Rocks and she sews like a dream. The fact that I can’t sew much more than a straight line troubles her soul, LOL!
She’s 83 and they designed the Energizer Bunny after her. ;)

Maybe you can see these? I have made 3 of these for the grandchildren. They are bunk bed organizers, tie to the bed rails. Could be adapted for other bed styles. When my daughter was in college, I made something similar that hung off the side with pockets, attached to rubberized shelf lining, then tucked in below the mattress. Was great for storing reading glasses, remotes, flashlights, phones, Kleenex, small flashlight....

It is an afghan. Both sides have the same design only in reverse colors. First you make a stitch for one side then a stitch for the other side. It was very difficult and I am a pretty good knitter.
Do you mean double knit where you use two colors and follow a graph and the each side is actually identical but opposite colors?
And yeah, I knit.

I started a top down raglan sweater a week or so ago from a bunch of olive green Lion Brand Suede that someone gave me recently.
I’m past the underarm division and onto the body and now I’ve gotten bored. It’s just basic back and forth which is great for watching tv, but I’m tv’d out also.
I am loathe to give up ravelry because I have so much saved on there. I have a lot of organized pinterest boards also.
You are amazing. It’s very very close. I was pretty sure it was McCall’s magazine. 1986.. what a long time ago.
