Yep, but if the exaggerated models don’t come true, they’ll claim it was because of their mass curfews and shutdowns. They’ve set up a perfect scam for themselves.
We now can see where they were going with global warming. If they ever succeeded at enacting their radical climate change preventative measures, then for as long as the world doesn’t “cook itself to death,” they would claim it was their measures that prevented it from happening. It’s an airtight con job whether it’s for global warming or COVID-19.
What will Americans do when they get call back to work but can only return to that job if they have been vaccinated against COVID?

I’m in construction & just to the south of Charlotte. In our Safety Huddle every morning I try to find an interesting way to make the the message stick. Obviously the 1st topic is the Kung Flu (also called the Wu Tang) so this morning I instructed everyone to go to the Port-a-John and either drop their pants and scratch their ass and do NOT wash their hands so that they will keep them away from their face because of the crap smell (we wear gloves 100% regardless) OR dip their fingertips in the blue water. That 2nd suggestion offers a visual, smell, and taste deterrent... I bring this up because there are those here that would cuss me for not taking the CDC dictates of social distancing, no touchy face, etc serious when so many people are dying and those that would chuckle. Those that would ask hellfire to rain upon us because we left the house to begin with and those that say some semblance of life must go on. Many that honestly believe that those of us that are not heeding every federal and doctor’s suggestion are going to make their parents die a horrible death and us that believe that though tomorrow isn’t guaranteed anyway, we actually walk with a smile.
You either fall in line for the good of the country and never miss a beat in the goose-stepping or get executed in the town square as an example of carelessness. I’m neither freaking out nor dismissing the seriousness of this terrible flu strain. I’m just trying to succeed at my mission of getting folks to choose life, defend life, and live life.

Well, I’m not a flubro, but I will note the rate of increase is deceasing, my two-day daily moving average has steadily gone down, from 55% on 3/19 to just under 15% yesterday.
Death rates have been increasing, though.

Wife and I both are working as we’re considered essential. Too bad we are. We really want to have a nice Spring vacation at the farm. Plenty to do outside, lots of grounds keeping and gardening to do. But we have to do what we have to do. If everybody laid out of work, it would make the virus look like a piker.

The plain meaning of words is being turned upside down.
Quarentine is what is done when infected persons are locked away to prevent them from spreading the infection to others.
It is not the isolation of the “healthy community”.
Which brings me to the concept of “herd immunity”. Herd immunity is what is developed as the “herd” is exposed to a contagion, and, over time, through the battling of the contagion and the attrition of those who fell to the disease, the herd will have developed a general immunity.
If one were to expose one “herd”, and isolate another, both herds should emerge healthy, ultimately. But that second herd will have developed no immunity, and will be just as susceptible as before.
Here is my fear. This thing will fade down in a few weeks and they will let us free from our bondage. Then, it will pop up again and the World-o-meter will start to whirl and they will order us back into the caves for Round 2. Repeat as many times as necessary.

What my problem is with this lockdown when they let us all out of lockup the virus will still be here SO are we going to go through this all over again because so few have immunity REALLY!!!
