The American death rate will be far lower than the Italian and Spanish death rates - even with falsely attributing deaths of people with severe preconditions to Corona. Expensive drug cocktails recommended by Trump are helping many people. This will wind up being approximately as deadly as the h1n1 flu of a decade ago. Fauci is wrong to say 100-200k will die.
My concern is for the greater harm this shutdown will have on the economic lives of people and for the loss of constitutional rights. Hoping for an Easter end to this lockdown - end of April is excessive.
Yes, a lot of people (maybe most) actually believe things will get back to normal with this bill passed.

Yes, I disagree with how Trump handled this. But there are 3 ways to lead:
1. Lead the country in the right direction, 2 Be forced/led by public opinion/media, 3 Lead the country in the wrong direction. Trump has done a mix of 1 and 2, when I am more accustomed to him doing number 1.
Some of it is over the top, but there is a lot of useful information on it as well.

I don’t consider it the Flu, literally. However, I do consider it analogous to the flu. e.g. my wife had the flu for a month and I didn’t get it at all.

You don’t get exponential, do you? For ascertaining growth/doubling rates, the size of the region doesn’t matter, unless maybe you are talking about Luxembourg.
The minimal impact this disease has on most people is what troubles me. Very few people are going from healthy to dead with this. There are especially very few healthy young people who have died. People die all the time for a variety of causes - I think that far too many people will have Corona listed as cause of death when these people really have multiple causes.
At 28:44 he makes a prediction. There was a spike, but it looks like it may already have hit the peak in the US. BTW, the US death stats are kinda like our gun homicide stats. Remove a few key cities and everything is “fine”.
