How Soon Will You Get Your Coronavirus Stimulus Check? ('Not My President' radicals get nothing?)
Moneywise via Yahoo ^ | 3/29/20 | Doug Whiteman

Most Americans can expect to get a cash payment of over $1,000 as part of the heaping $2 trillion coronavirus relief bill President Donald Trump signed on Friday to stimulate the faltering economy.

The nonpartisan Tax Policy Center estimates that the free money will go to about 90% of U.S. households to help ease some of their financial pain from the pandemic, which has caused massive business shutdowns and layoffs and is making it tough for people to pay their rent, mortgages and other bills.

When will I get my stimulus check? Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin has indicated taxpayers should start receiving the money by mid-April.

"We’re determined to get money in people’s pockets immediately," he told CNBC.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer says the president hopes things can move even more quickly. The New York Democrat says Trump wants the payments to start going out on April 6.

But former tax officials and other experts say the administration is being too optimistic. They say the last time the government distributed relief money on a large scale - in the midst of the 2008 financial crisis and Great Recession - it took two to three months to get payments going.

32” bar! Do you have big trees in your area? I got a Stihl with an 18” bar and I can’t handle one much bigger.

Yep. Me too. I’m not excited about the instant huge debt at all. Shore up ui would have done it imho. I read that the IRS collection efforts are suspended on this. So yes you should get it if otherwise qualify.

“I wonder how many people will actually get it.”

Since $75k is about the top 37% for single people, I’d say about 63% of thee people will get a full check, but the cutoff is $99k for a partial check, or the upper 25%, so another 12% will get something.

For married, dual incomes, the percentages don’t change, so same deal but a few more single married will get a check.

The measure is your 2018 tax return.

If the person who rented the DVD before you, had CV-19, wouldn’t you risk infection via surface contamination?
Are the DVDs disinfected between renters?

The measure is your 2018 tax return.

Or,

If you are receiving Social Security benefits but didn’t file taxes in 2018 or 2019, you will be eligible to receive a stimulus check without a tax return based on data available to the IRS from your annual Social Security benefits statement. - https://www.aarp.org/politics-society/advocacy/info-2020/coronavirus-stimulus-checks.html

Actually I found out that the 390XP / 395XP’s are now made in Brazil the past few years because they do not meet the emission standards of Sweden. The loggers have and people in the industry say the quality is still there.

I cut mainly firewood with a friend of mine dropping off a truck and trailer load of 20’ logs every August (15+ cord).

About 1/2 of them logs are 25”+ diameter and it is getting to be a bit of a pain with my Stihl 044 with a 25” bar to get through them.

The new saw will be for those big beasties which I then have to cut in half length wise to be able to get them up on the splitter.

“If we used that money to pay down the national debt” .

That’s exactly what that money will be doing. While you were watching covid 19 news Trump was nationalizing the Federal Reserve. It is being merged with the US Treasury Dept soon to be deceased. While everyone is out looking for TP Trump is getting rid of the Fed.

That $2 trillion is being issued at zero interest. It carries no debt. Those equity dollars will go into circulation and begin to pay off the old dollars that are in circulation that do carry debt.
