I binge watched ‘Better call Saul’ on Netflix. . Nothing has helped me relax more, or protects me better from the maddening din of cable news, than the old classics like Bonanza, I dream of Jeanie, Star Trek or Rifleman on Me TV. I even dug up the complete series of ‘Hear come the Brides’ on You tube. But even so, that mesmerizing flat screen gets boaring and monotonous eventually.

Basically what I was doing before everything went to hell.

My Cards games are from last season on tv and from 2011 on the radio. KMOX and the Cardinal network started last week with the 8-25-2011 game and will go all the way to game 7.

I can’t actually watch much tv in my room as the screen is black with two bright strips of light across it. Still have sound. Trying to get enough money to buy a new one. I was half way until I bought groceries.

The day before the library closed I checked out 5 books plus I have 2 e-books checked out.

I have a Fire and 2 Onn tablets that I use. I mostly read books, play games and KMOX on the Fire.

The 7 inch Onn I run an app that plays videos that I earn points. I use the points along with other things done on the site to get Paypal payments. This year I have earned enough for $50 each month.

The 8 inch Onn I use to play games, earning points, watching youtube and other tv and listen to KMOX.

I use the PC for games, FR, earning points and Youtube.

Take naps. Sometimes very tired other times just need to put my legs up because of CVI.

Have the tv on the 80’s music station unless a Cards game is on or I have on CSPAN.

I have watched more Youtube since the end of October than I have in over 5 years.

Blackhead/ingrown hair removal videos. I have 3 favorites. I unsubbed from Dr. Sandra Lee a few months ago and I was one of the first subscribers to her channel.

Van life /rv videos including builds. I don’t even drive but I like watching them. A guy in Canada is one of my favorites.

Cooking and recipes.
Dollar Tree hauls.
Reddit - this is new in the last two weeks.
Weird history.
Chiro - jealous when I hear the cracking because my back is so messed up.
Health.
Crafting — as if I craft lol.
80’s music videos.

BTW I am doing most of these things at the same time.

In the evening, my husband and I watch Amazon movies. Many of the originals are surprising good.

During the day, as I work, I listen to podcasts and documentaries from YouTube.

Got hooked watching mostly old B&W movies:

Brute Force(1947) a prison break movie

Panic in the Streets(1950)-pneumonic plague is spread in New Orleans by an illegal alien

The Killer That Stalked New York(1950) - smallpox gets spread in NYC by smugglers

The Miami Story(1954)-bringing down organized crime

Kiss of Death (1947)- the original

All the King's Men (1949)- political corruption

Detective Story(1951)- couldn't use the words abortion or abortionist in films back then, but they get the message through to the viewer anyway. Oh and the abortionist is one of the bad guys.

Mostly via Amazon Prime:
Rockford Files
Magnum, P.I.
Everwood

The Guardian

Also
Office Space on DVD. Since retirement it’s funnier than before. Before, it was funny/disturbing — too close to home.

John Adams on DVD. Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney are excellent.

Coronavirus briefings — to see Trump be “presidential” and piss off the RATs and/or MSM.

(Not watching Hallmark.)

Netflix is my only source.

Lucifer I will be finishing it up tonight. Fun story in a superhero comic character. Not my usual.

Great production values. Unfortunately Netflix took over the last season, and I see that it is getting darker.

Metropolitan Opera Daily Stream

Today's opera is Die Meistersinger, available until 6:30 PM ET. (As long as you start it by then, you can watch the whole thing, even pausing it if you like.)

Tried to watch Joker. Ugly and depressing. No surprise DeNiro's in it, since it seems to be a mash-up of Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy.

Watched Homeland, Season 7. The one where the Russians try to take down a US president. It was watchable, but I wouldn't have watched it if I had other things to do.

This week Comcast was having free Showtime on demand. Mostly garbage. It's like they deliberately take the stuff that HBO (and AMC and FX) reject. It's like they want to be bad. Too PC too.

I saw some of Jim Carrey's Kidding. Not terrible. Also City on a Hill, Boston crime drama. Also not bad, but too much like the other Boston crime dramas (with a Livia Soprano-type mother-in-law thrown in for free).

Would like to read books, but the internet is too much of a temptation.
