Just wondering - what people are watching (TV, movies, videos) during this crazy time.

Never posted a vanity before. Sorry if not done correctly.

I liked the general on Chuck.

Forgot about her.

She didn’t look at all like “the General” - her hair wasn’t pulled back tightly - but I recognized her voice.

Good idea. Liking John Nettles as I do, I really want to see Bergerac. In the same way, I’m watching The Sweeney on Britbox for John Thaw - definitely far from Morse.

The Sweeney is some excellent viewing.

One almost had to be a track and field star considering all the running those guys did.

Only watch TV at night: Jacob Prasch/Moriel TV on Youtube; Qello for music and documentaries; Downton Abbey, all seasons, on PBS Passport (How many times now for me...five? Downton is excellent.)

Also have Amazon Prime, wish their movie selection was better, but there’s enough to find something if in the mood for a movie. It does have a good selection of documentaries also.

I haven’t had cable TV in five years. Everything above I watch through Roku.

Fool’s Gold = is it a funny flick?

Totally hilarious from the first frame to the last. With the exception of a little cavalier depiction of gun use, it's family friendly too.

Thanks for the info about Band of Brothers - others have strongly recommended it too - will definitely check it out.

My one TV, a Vizio is about 5 years old the Netflix app built in no longer works because Netflix isnt supporting TVs and DVD players that old. The plug in Chromecast can access Netflix and Chromecast plus Google keeps updating it as things change. Cheap to get new $39 device when it’s no longer supported than buy new Tv

Yeah, I lost the handful of vids I’d paid for using the Amazon app on the ‘old’ BluRay player, after the updates stopped. That’s not too far off bait and switch, but regardless, it’s crooked.

There are a few “My Sharona” spoofs, I’ve only seen the Chris Mann (blue language, NeverTrumper), some fun during the lockdown.

Now were sad because we have to wait another year... We’re kind of liking the new format that Hulu is using where they give you the first 3 or 4 episode and then you have a to wait a week for another new 1.

Band of Brothers is well-worth watching ... even binge-watching the series if you’re so inclined. Highly recommended by this guy!

Classic MLB games courtesy of MLB on YouTube.

Watched Randy Johnson’s perfect game and the 1974 World Series Opener (As vs Dodgers). Can’t tell you how good it felt watching baseball.

That sounds good! I have watched some of the old NCAA basketball Championship games - CBS has had these on mostly on Saturday afternoons. Very nice, as you say, to see sports again.

If you like Bergerac you might like Midsomers Murders, John Nettles stars in that too.
