Here’s The Food People Refuse To Buy Even During A Pandemic
Daily Caller ^ | March 27, 2020 | Marlo Safi

If eyes are windows to the soul, what was left behind in the grocery stores after coronavirus panic buying are windows to what Americans won’t eat even in extreme circumstances.

People began sharing pictures on social media of what items were left behind after the shopping surge. The foods — such as cauliflower crust pizza or chocolate hummus — and the empty shelves once stocked with more appetizing foods are juxtaposed.

Carrot spirals were unpopular enough that Twitter users from different Trader Joe’s locations shared their pictures of the same stacked up boxes.

Chocolate and buffalo hummus were also left behind, confirming that the flavored hummus debate hasn’t been settled.

Vegan and plant-based can be seen in proportions that appear recently stocked.

I did notice an entire long isle cleaned out of bread the other day. There were probably a hundred different types and styles of bread and tortillas completely cleaned out and gone. All of it sold out.

All except for one space on the isle that had plenty of King's Hawaiian bread, ALL of it was just sitting there untouched. I didn't buy any of that sugary crap either.

The thing about Dasani is it tastes the same — and good — no matter what part of the country you buy it in. I also like Aquafina which seems similarly uniform.

I’ll try it if I see it, but it isn’t familiar to me in the Dallas area.

It’s amazing what a smile and a “Thank You” can mean to somebody. :-)

This is my friend, when I’m trying to find a traditional recipe; and you can then play around:

Nobody’s gonna eat that Manhattan clam chowder chit. Not in New England.

Their original Lentil soup is very good. We keep it stockpiled.

Many thanks, mt dear friend! :-)

My mother called Manhattan clam chowder "garbage soup", but I liked it as a kid; however the New England style has ALWAYS been my favorite chowder! Sadly, grandma took both recipes to the grave with her. :-(

I was at a Kroger just this evening. Noted that the plant based meat alternatives were well stocked. No ground beef. Still no TP which surprised me. Pretty good stock of eggs which I was pleased to see.

I guess it would do in a pinch if there were no pasta sauce available. Otherwise,
