“All except for one space on the isle that had plenty of King’s Hawaiian bread, ALL of it was just sitting there untouched. I didn’t buy any of that sugary crap either.”

It’s great with spinach dip
but that’s the only thing
I will eat King’s Hawaiian bread for.

When I wrote that pasta is “pretty much all we’re eating for dinner here,” I was using a little bit of hyperbole.

I also have potatoes, veggies, broth, eggs, flour, etc., but I bought much more pasta because that’s what I could afford on a very tight budget.

Manhattan clam tomato soup. Wouldn’t dignify it by using chowder in the same name.

They'll can have my King Crimson CD's when they pry them from my cold dead fingers.

A few months back a good friend & I spent a rainy Saturday listening to the Steven Wilson remixes of King Crimson's early albums on his kick-ass stereo. Lizard was always my favorite (even Fripp refers to us Lizard fans as strange), and the remix really pulls the passionate playing out of the original, somwhat muddy, mix. And crank up the Lark's Tongues in Aspic.

Well...that can be said of anything “well made”. I nbelieve you.

But, of course, this thread is about cans left on the grocery shelf when everything else is gone. LOL!

If you’ve seen them recently, I think it is the songs from Lizard that have improved most dramatically when played live. This band is much more competent technically than that band was. I also think there’s a bit of an added bonus in that Lizard was not as overplayed by most Crimson fans (well, other than by you strange Lizard fans) so it seemed more like new material. Circus in particular just comes off really well.

Saw them about two years ago, performing sets of their old material. A potent mix of old & new musicians - finely tuned.

Whole Foods still had a supply of nail guns and 12-lb sledge hammers.

All the cement mixers were gone.
:-(

Nobody’s gonna eat that Manhattan clam chowder chit. Not in New England.

I grew up in Central Massachusetts, and my mother always made the Manhattan clam chowder. I chalk it up to her French-Canadian heritage. I never ate it again after I got married and left home.

Olives and artichokes are both really good things to have in the pantry.

I stocked up on both last week.
