What's in your medical home kit to survive COVID-19?

If the hospitals are unable to handle the patient load, and you are coming down with symptoms that may suggest you have the coronavirus, what have you stocked to self-care at home? I'm looking for essentials items that I haven't considered.

I haven’t cooked so much food at home in years! I made a strawberry shortcake yesterday (strawberries are very high in vitamin C). Tonight it’s spatchcock BBQ chicken and corn on the cob with chocolate cake for dessert.

I did too. I’ve not been in the office since Feb 25th.
Between a cold and taking vacation before I lose it, and working from home. I’ve self isolated pretty well. Made a few 11:30 pm runs to walmart before they reduced hours.

Our chest freezer is stocked. Just pulled out a Costco rib steak to thaw and grill for dinner.

I’m in PA too. I may have to cross the Ben Franklin Bridge for a buying excursion at the Roger Wilko.

“I’ve sprayed it into my mouth when I felt a sore throat coming on. It’s always worked for me.”

I have also found it to be very effective for conjunctivitis.

A liter of tonic water has about 40 percent of single dose...might be enough to act prophylactically in some folks.

I sip tonic water throughout day — about a liter, but some less. I hope diet tonic works, ‘cause that’s what I drink.

Close enough. I don’t know how PA classifies it from an ABV stance, but any decent brand of sherry or port will have the same general ‘medicinal’ attributes, unless you’re looking for pure rocket fuel or mother’s milk for a highball or something. If you look at it from a ‘clinical’ POV. My sister and her husband live in the P’Burgh ‘burbs. I’m sure they muscle along.

I need to buy a freezer for my basement. I love to buy in bulk or get whatever is on sale and wrap/freeze the parcels. I have a secret love of butcher’s paper :-)

I made my wife stop driving school bus too. I catch every cold that goes around as she knows my susceptibility due to my low immunity.

There was an article yesterday that said pink eye may be an early indicator for the virus.

Got some Emergen-C, Mucinex and Mucinex DM and Zicam early on. Had a thermometer already and also had 2 bottles of isopropyl alcohol on-hand from when I was doing work on a septic system a few years back....found a couple bottles of hand sanitizer in a bug-out kit we had put together during Obama years and have some cold and Flu relief from last year.

Yes! Let’s face it, gin and tonic is the perfect antidote to Coronavirus! And if it isn’t, you die with a smile on your face.
