The important point I wanted to emphasize is that these places NEED to get immunized. And soon.
Being virus-free is no longer good.
Meanwhile, Nevada’s government just banned use of the malaria drug with promise to treat COVID-19. He apparently likes Kobayashi Muru’s. Widespread use of this drug SOON could ensure that we come out of this mess without starving to death afterward.
I saw several stores having crew clean carts for customers because they are out of wipes.
One store had a sign up please dont come in if you have been sick.
Nobody going to pay attention to that
One thing I hadnt thought of was alcohol prep pads. One store had them out on a cart. So I bought my limit and will keep some in the car
But then the mild cases can transmit to other people who will then carry it home to Grandma. Teleworking is our friend nowadays.
Very scary!
“I guess God put too much of a will to live in me.”
Going down fighting! I am committed to taking a f-load of zombies with me!
Yep. Stay self quarantined until April 15. If this gets as bad as it appears it might, no one will have to tell you to by then.
No time for immunization - no vaccine. Quarantine and your silver-bullet cure is all we have for now, maybe.
Isolate grandma for the time being bring her the things she needs leaving then on her porch and telecommunication with her we all agree the elderly need to be protected but not by shutting the entire economy down!! If people care enough about grandma they will find a way to take care of her!!
“Treatment is the key, the silver bullet.”
We are in a race, sooner than I hoped. Containment is still our rear-guard defense while we ramp up our treatment capabilities.
We need some cannon fodder. Where are the FluBros when you need them?
Especially the old and co-morbid.
The rest can get immunized by the virus as far as I’m concerned.
It wasn’t letting them vote or drive. It was teaching them to talk.
Bodacious! :)
“Meanwhile, Nevadas government just banned use of the malaria drug with promise to treat COVID-19.”
I want to hear the logic there.
People, many people, are surviving this.
They, from best evidence, are then immune.
But some people cannot take the strain it puts on their body and they have to avoid infection. Period.
Vaccine is next year.
Effective treatments now would be a godsend.
Also seems to be more than twice as contagious on average. Thus, the seemingly draconian measures that weren’t even perceived as needed for Ebola.
We have friends from NY that I warned WEEKS ago to get the heck out of dodge.
They have family in FL, so that’s exactly where they headed.
They’re SO thankful that they got out when they did. I sure hope they’re not infecting their family members. So far, so good...it’s been over two weeks.
They, from best evidence, are then immune.

I hear it does give you immunity, and I also hear it doesn’t.
I wish we had a clear answer, on that.
