BTW, just for the record Dr. DeLong was my father, but through his associations I knew plenty of doctors and thus learned a lot from them. One important thing I learned was not all doctors are brilliant, even though they were all well educated. Just look around, many doctors and many differences of opinion abound. Even among those who study viruses. Some are even panicky fools just like you apparently are.

You can see the flu has caused more deaths in just the U.S., in a mild year, than have died worldwide from CoVid-19 so far.

Do not allow yourself to be so panicked by this. The numbers just do not justify it. Besides it is not good for your immune system to become stressed. So you are hurting yourself directly, as well as, many others indirectly.

The panic has been generated by a press who are desperate to bring down President Trump. They are the sole cause of the panic. Though we have had much worse, at least so far, viruses hit us they remained silent. In fact they remained silent in 2009, or at lest did not make a big deal of it, when the H1N1 virus took 12,000 lives in this country. Because the Messiah was the resident occupying the White House at that time. Don't assist them in succeeding.

So let's compare US stats with US and the whole year to date for the flu season to this at the end of the same time frame.

Unfortunately, WuFlu appears to be taking about 1% to 4% of its victims (out of all confirmed cases), depending on the country, except in Italy, where it seems to be 8% or 9%. The ratio of deaths to total resolved cases is sometimes significantly higher.

H1N1 was not a ‘normal’ flu for the US, only in the last few decades, and, should be looked at afresh as related to Jan/Feb international travel infectious routes. Without H1N1 annual epidemic, accepting that H1N1 is causative to 50% or more of annual flu deaths, ‘normal’ flu would be in the range of 10-20k deaths a year. And realistically less, as some of the very elderly can’t stand even a minimal strain to their aged immune systems.

Right now, America is laying siege to an enemy. An enemy that needs living bodies to reproduce. Our siege is buying time for scientists to win the war. Same as every war. Join the siege. Win the war.
