So let's compare US stats with US and the whole year to date for the flu season to this at the end of the same time frame.
Just because this virus is a new strain, and even perhaps a bio-engineered one, it belongs to a family named Coronaviridae. So it is not like we do not have similar viruses to compare it to, AIDS being one and SARS being another, which is why it is also called SARS2 CoVid-19. There are really promising signs that we already have drugs within our arsenal that have had reported promising results with this viral strain.
I have yet to see panic & hysteria solve anything, let alone a viral entity. So why is everyone reacting this way? It does nothing to facilitate combating this. But if we allow fear to destroy our economy we will damage a lot more people. To what end is that useful?

The average is high thirties, I think.
