“Lookner needs to remember there are no good options left.”
I don’t think he has gotten it yet that accelerate, slow down, and hard break are going to be employed around the country in sometimes larger and sometimes smaller areas until we get to herd immunity or the promised land of vaccine.
After today’s press conference, I started to think that what we have been witnessing recently is a pretty hard break, the purpose of which is primarily to give us time to increase hospital capacity and position resources.
We will also evaluate the success of various measures to slow infection spread. They will get better at it.
Will the crew member now have to isolate, for 14 days?
Praying your son does not get sick.
Thanks (again), they need to site how many of these are on oxygen and ventilators.
Agreed, that is the strategy.
Of course it will be very difficult to execute for a whole bunch of reasons.
The fog of war.
It’s important to note this ship left port in Rio on March 7th. Everyone who got on board knew what was happening with cruise ships by then.
It’s hard to have any sympathy for these folks who deliberately put themselves and others at risk.
It was 3/16/2020 when announced. The next day POTUS said we are on day 14. So I marked the calendar in decreasing sequence. Today is day 8. Day 1 is 3/30, and day zero is 3/31.
So this actually got out earlier than intended?
OK thanks.
My sense of time is really skewed on this.
So much is happening, stuff I did a week ago seems like an eternity for me now.

OK. End of the month.
That’s easy to remember.
I dont think so because no one at his work thought about this being a symptom - I sent some info to him about it to pass on
I agree.
As crazy as this month has been, next month is going to get even crazier, regardless of what policies are followed by any governments.
He was mad at Trump for saying he will ease the suppression efforts soon.

Yes. Strategically, this was not intended - never start shooting early in an ambush - imagine this starting later in the fall, please.
If we can get this down to isolated outbreaks, we win. What’s killing us now is a hodge-podge of everywhere at the same time. I’m not holding out for herd-immunity with this critter. We certainly haven’t developed it towards H1N1, and H1N1 is relatively stable.
Those hospitalization and ICU rates generally following trends weve seen in other countries.
We were told we wouldnt see those kinds of numbers in the US because of better healthcare. Guess no one told the virus that.
Lookner has lost his sh!t.
He provided a great service while he lasted. But he needs some downtime lol
