Being educated and educating yourself (as we did early) allows you to set expectations in your mind.
I expected stuff to get weird in the stores because that is what normally happens. When I saw it, it was deja vu. Did it change? I bought a second set of 5 for $5 crushed tomatoes. I made some magnificent “gravy” tonight.
Expectations gives your brain “trigger points.” You will automatically know when a trigger point is hit...and you will have thought, “What next.”

My wife has really caught on in the past few weeks—after not believing in any of the prepper stuff.
“I saw some chicken tonight, and the store didn’t have it last week, so I am getting some....”
The ability to think about what “could” happen, rather than focusing on what is happening right now, is the prepper mentality.

One of the things that we need to remember is that NO ONE has immunity to a new virus.
The whole idea of these shut downs is to slow it down. So that the system can catch up.
These things come in waves. The second and third waves are usually tougher without vaccines or treatments.
So, to sum up...we are ALL eventually going to be exposed. Slow walking this is a much better solution for the healthcare system and, for the long run—our economy.
I honestly think that the folks that don’t “get that” are so stuck in their mindset, they are not open any opposing argument.

Coins are fairly ‘clean’ as far as money goes. Cents are copper encased zinc, nickels are 75% copper, and dimes & quarters are 25% copper on the clad with a 100% copper core. Washing them in tap water would probably be good enough as the copper content of the coins would naturally kill bacteria and viruses.

Well, soapy water is supposed to work against the virus by removing the fatty lipid coating.
A few hours in the soapy water and I rinse them off and throw them in a separate bowl for use several days later.
Along those lines. Recommend eating through your frozen food and perishables before you get to the canned food. I anticipate power grid problems if things continue escalating.
