Woman who recovered from coronavirus says hysteria 'out of control': I don't get why the toilet paper is gone
Fox News ^ | March 13, 2020 | Joshua Nelson

Former coronavirus patient Jerri Jorgensen said Friday that the hysteria surrounding the coronavirus has “gotten out of control,” recalling when she was barred from a gym after undergoing quarantine.

“All the toilet paper being gone -- I don’t get the toilet paper,” Jorgensen told “Fox & Friends.”

Jorgensen said that afterward when she got home, the gym’s management called her to tell her to stay away to keep the “senior citizens” safe.

“I go, ‘I am a senior citizen! Wait, what about me?'” Jorgensen said. “And I am the safest one in the gym, probably the safest one in Utah because I’ve been through quarantine and tested more than once negative.”

“And I have a letter from the Centers for Disease Control so it is what it is,” she added.

This is a good question and the answer is an hesitant qualified...no. There was a woman who was reinfected. She was sick, got better, tested clean and released, came back in a few days sick again and was worse. That scared everybody for a while, but it has not developed that way in others. (Please correct me anyone!) There are so many cases now that you are beginning to see symptom patterns, and the confidence is high that reinfection even with a second exposure to the virus, is not a problem.

The preferred theory on that woman was that the virus was still in her when she tested negative. There will not be anything definitive as you wanted, because the virus structure itself is not sufficiently understood. Just looking at the germ, it is so like other corona viruses that it should behave like them. The reason people get colds over and over is because there is no lasting immunity. We’ll see...

We used corn shucks and the privy was very near the corn crib. I always wondered about that. That out house was never located properly. It was always too far away in winter, and TOO CLOSE in summer!

If there is full recovery and immunity, perhaps those who have survived the virus could be given a mark on their right forearm or forehead as to be identified as a person who no longer needs isolation - and that they also may buy and sell! It would signify - er, um,... wait... Scratch that. Nevermind.

Ours was to far away too.   It was down an old carriage lane near the pig pin/slop yard.

Hmmm, come to think of it, me and mine have gone round for round a few times now.

Funny how when you get older, things that used to work just fine seem to start doing other things than that.

“But here is a prediction: If the government can order society to cease functioning, from restaurants and other businesses to schools, due to a possible health disaster, it is highly likely that a Democratic president and Congress will similarly declare emergency and assert authoritarian rule in order to prevent what they consider the even greater “existential threat” to human life posed by global warming.”

There’s no toilet paper because people aren’t stupid. The government tells people to stay home and avoid crowds. The history of the virus shows that quarantine is a very real threat. Given the choice do we buy lots of toilet paper or do we run to the store every other day to get toilet paper?

When all this started my wife and I already had sixty rolls out in our garage as a normal habit of shopping for bargains. It's the same with food. I did buy a box of twelve bowls of Chef Boyardee and a case of ramen noodles at Costco just for warm fuzzies in the event of illness.

Back in November I noticed our large King Soopers store started running out of toilet paper. I suspect (wear conspiracy tinfoil hat) that this “crisis” has been orchestrated as far back as then. Let TP run out and people panic.

When I saw what was going down in China back in late january i purchased some emergency food supplies. Over the next month or so picked up a 45 pack of toilet paper, a case of ramen as well and lots of meat. The day of President Trumps speech to the nation about the virus I told the wife if there's anything else we need we need to get it before this speech. Got a lot of burger and chicken, cheese etc. Glad we did. Don't have to really go to the store for the next 3 or 4 months if we don't want to.
