Vanity:Don’t fall for the media’s attempt to drive a wedge between President Trump and Dr Fauci

Posted on 03/22/2020 10:38:25 AM PDT by hudsonohio

I know I’ll get flamed for this but I’ll go ahead and make these points anyway. I think Trump’s decision to make Fauci a visible part of his task force was a stroke of genius. If you read Fauci’s background he took his position under Reagan and is undoubtedly one of the world’s foremost experts on infectious diseases. He brings significant credibility to The Presidents efforts.

The media recognizes this and is trying to drive a wedge between Trump and Fauci. DON’T fall for it. He has given significant support to the President particularly regarding the decision to stop travel from China. Sure he wants to see a lot more data from clinical trials before committing that chloroqul will stop the disease. He’s a scientist and that’s what they do.

But yesterday when the idiots in press tried to get him to say he disagreed with the President he gave an excellent response. He explained the difference between how a leader of the country and a scientist would look at the available information. He the went on to say that he and the President were aligned on the need to accelerate the deployment of those drugs and intertwined his fingers to illustrate the point.

By attacking Fauci on these forums you’re playing into the hands of the media. You may wish he worded things differently. I get that. I sometimes wish Trump worded things differently but the President has my total support. Let’s do the same for Dr Fauci and not let the media be successful in their efforts to undermine the President and our country.

Fauci is an excellent point man for this crisis and has the

President’s full trust.

Ignore personality focused media, this is way too important

to squabble about silly stuff.

Just read the article from American Thinker says he wasn’t that worried with H1N1 epidemic. Interesting.

If anything the media in general is really showing how irresponsible and small they are throughout this crisis.

They are a disgrace and are gambling with peoples lives simply because they hate the President.

Fauci IS the wedge. In place to push the panic to defeat Trump. Poo-poos Chloroquine, promotes Big Pharma “vaccines” incessantly. Deep State tool.

Indeed, I have not seen Fauci contradict Trump. Everyone on the Coronavirus team seems to be 100% on the same page.

Sometimes people look too much for faults, for wedges, and all. Cuomo is where we should look as he appears to be the Dems new knight in shining armor to their rescue.

He’s fine...perhaps just OVERLY CAUTIOUS for this current situation. He needs to transition to TRUMP TIME and show more of a sense of urgency.

I agree. They have different jobs and they are doing them. If that ceases to be the case, things will have to change, but I wouldn’t assume that they are at war with each other just because they address different concerns.

No flame from my end. Professionals know how to be professionals. Remember when Reagan was shot. Just before surgery, he asked the doctor if he was a Republican. The doctor replied “Today sir, we all are.”

I look at Fauci as the Jeff Sessions of medicine.

This guy wants to shut down the country for the next 3 months. I don’t think he takes a crap without consulting a protocol

The rationale for protocol based medicine is not so much to protect the patient but to protect MD’s from lawyers. This is not the approach you want to take in the midst of a pandemic.

Let Fauci advise, preferably in private, but let guys like Azar and Carsons lead the way.

I work for a specialty chemical manufacturer selling to retail hardware and lumberyard customers.

Our chemists are always cautious about product capabilities. They are scientists and think differently than us sales types.

There is nothing wrong and everything right about Fauci and Trump.

Fauci said what he had to say as a Dr.

Those malaria drugs, a combo of two, have never been tested with this particular coronavirus.

For him to say it’s safe or is going to work, would make him a quack Dr.

Fauci could be a genius for all I know but what I do know is he is a “by the book” bureaucrat who is always looking for ways to cover his ass. He absolutely cannot/won’t think out of the box and in fact I doubt he has ever even seen what the outside of the box looks like.

Actually, Pence contradicted Trump yesterday. Trump was telling the media that ventilators are complex, computerized machines. Pence got up there right after that and told them the machines are really kind of simple. Trump noticed too.
