Well, Spain’s up next, anyway.
“3 point 6 percent, not 3 to 6 percent. But those are the bogus Chinese numbers they use, so its just junk.”
yeah, ok, they need to change their graph, then, and I guess do some housecleaning. I thought the Lancet was well respected. I guess they will have to close their doors once people like you expose them for the frauds they are.
Does anyone have knowledge of the friend that had to be rescued from a foreign country under terrible hardship?
CALIFORNIA - ( and other states)
LA Times:
Hoping to escape coronavirus, city dwellers are fleeing to California’s deserts and mountains
...These new urban immigrants are not entirely welcome, however. Locals fear their arrival could overwhelm the public health systems of small towns already struggling to cope with the growing crisis, and public health officials worry the movement will lead to greater spread of the highly contagious virus.
...In Los Angeles, Mayor Eric Garcetti announced Thursday night that residents were forbidden from moving to or from vacation homes outside the city, along with a number of other health and safety restrictions aimed at fighting contagion.
Amazon is hiring. $17 per hour.
Was it the potato soup, again? ;-)
Message to FluBros and Millinials from Gavin Newsom: Grow Up!
“Be a good neighbor. Be a good citizen. Those young people that are still out there on the beaches thinking this is a party time grow up,” Newsom said during a news conference on Facebook and Twitter on Saturday afternoon. “It’s time to wake up, time to recognize it’s not just about the old folks. It’s about your impact on their lives. Don’t be selfish, recognize you have a responsibility to meet this moment.”

I’d like to see Bezos step up to the plate with a YUGE donation for face masks/PPE/hand sanitizer, etc, at this difficult time for our country.
Speaking of....has anyone seen Bezos, lately?
Has he returned from his NZ trip?
Hmmmmm....old Gavin may become a Republican, before this is all over.
He sounds like a Dem who’s been mugged.
(Though I seriously doubt it :)
No deal Futures down over -900.
Democrats!
There is going to be a serious political re-alignment when this is over.
Senate Democrats block Emergency Relief Bill - Pelosi wants to write a different bill in the House, which will take days. Pelosi/Schumer want more money for states; the Reps want to get money to people.
Let the tar and feathering commence.
new utility requests is the best way - no new turn ons.
I went by what they wrote and where they said they got the data.
"As of March 1, 2020, 79 968 patients in China and 7169 outside of China had tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).1 Among Chinese patients, 2873 deaths had occurred, equivalent to a mortality rate of 3·6% (95% CI 3·53·7), while 104 deaths from COVID-19 had been reported outside of China (1·5% [1·21·7])."
Aside from having actually read what they said, everybody knows the Chinese numbers are bogus. Garbage In Garbage Out. A lot of legitimate organizations have no other data, though, so they do the best they can with what they've got. just like us.
From mid February to March 1st the Chinese burned 10s of thousands of bodies in Wuhan over their normal numbers according to the crematorium workers.
So you believe what you like, and I will continue to take anything based on Chinese numbers with a giant salt lick.
They state they re-estimated based on the WHO data and that they came up with a 5.6% rate for China and a 15.2 rate for the rest of the world and that they estimated the lines converge at 5.7%, but their estimate is still tainted by the Chinese data. At the end they say it could have been as much as 20% in Wuhan (where the HCS collapsed) but we don't have any numbers for infected or dead out of there other than estimates based on circumstantial data and unsubstantiated "whistleblower" reports because China won't let anybody in to look around. So who knows?
Online work available? I can’t move - just the care for my Mom would eat up most of that $17 / hr.
Good for her!
Wasn’t there a 101 year old here in the US? I thought Trump mentioned her.
There might be. I think there was something about it when I glanced at the listings. Probably significantly higher requirements than the warehouse jobs, but higher pay as well, I presume.
I drove from Modesto CA to Sacramento CA and back today. Highway 99 and I5.
Notes:
1. Traffic very light and very fast. more trucks than I’ve ever seen on the roads.
2. About 10% had some kind of Amazon logo on them.
3. About 10% had a Walmart logo.
4. The vast majority were independents.
5. The two big truck stops along the way (Flying J in Ripon and the Hiway 12/I5 interchange) were completely, completely packed with parked trucks getting their require downtime.
6. Trucks were averaging 65-70mph on CA freeways. That never happens with the limit here for trucks 55mph. They usually only do 60-62.
Amazing how many trailers Amazon has. And some looked new, others refurbished with tires and paint.
US logistics are in overdrive, big time. Big trains moving too.
