Even remote NC is being infected by the menace known as NY .
NY needs to quarantined like Wuhan now .

Not sure why we would not be stockpiled on this drug.
Praying whatever measures they’re taking/about to take....are in efforts to ramp up production of this drug.
I have seen the studies that say five days, but I am a little skeptical.
There has been a lot of discussion here about the “first cases” in various areas, and often they caught the disease several weeks before they arrived in a hospital.
For sure there is a wide variation....

My hospital has its tents up and ready- been testing for a few days, (but not in tents yet). We have several patients.
Our local counties are in semi-lockdown, some with curfews. I’m off this weekend- finally sleep after some very long days. All elective procedures and surgeries canx, no visitors allowed except end-of-life and one for L&D.
Atmosphere at work is determined and sober. No panic, no freaking out. Professional and calm. Oh- plus the usual hospital whacko humor:)
What is your source for this?
I have a contact in Beijing who still refuses to go out of his apartment.

While the annual Chino Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) Choral Festival—originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 18—has been cancelled, our Chino Hills HS Chamber Singers demonstrated resilience by recording their individual a cappella portion of Over the Rainbow in their separate homes, and through technology were able to appear together as a family again. Their harmonious performance was shared online for the CVUSD community with the goal of spreading hope and cheer during this difficult time.

I want to say that he was an engineer....he just loved sewing. Said it was stress reducing.
For me, some projects, are stress inducing.
This is needed for sure—and these facilities will save many thousands of lives imho, but the article was totally silent on how long it would take to get the facilities up and running...

Food handlers wear gloves and food safety guidelines say food is to be cooked and maintained at a certain temp. So it is comes down to how much a person trusts their local fast food restaurant and what risk they are willing to take. The biggest danger is the bag the food is in and the people who touched it. Personally, would not eat anything that wasn’t cooked (salad), and For cooked foods, I would take the food out of packaging, out on a plate and reheat. You can never be too careful.

My mother sewed on one of the White machines until shortly before her death in November.
She set the example, unfortunately not many people in the family followed it.
