A CORONAVIRUS patient in Kentucky has been placed under 24/7 armed guard after refusing to self-isolate.
Gov. Andy Beshear said the state had to make the unusual move to protect others nearby.
Deputies are now stationed outside the 53-year-old man's house around-the-clock in Nelson County.
"It's a step I hoped I never had to take, but we can't allow one person who we know has this virus to refuse to protect their neighbors," Gov. Beshear told reporters.
The unidentified man is the only coronavirus patient in the county, and officials were worried that he could infect others.
A total of 18 people have tested positive in Kentucky.
The patient had left the hospital without permission, according to TV station WDRB.

If a person who is infected with coronavirus can be locked up to prevent the spread, what about HIV / AIDS patients? After all, over 16.000 died from AIDS in 2017.

This is why people will soon not want to get tested. They will hide their symptoms. They will only go to the hospital if it gets real bad and cant breathe. By then they will have spread it.
Choosing where you are quarantined is one thing. Choosing whether you are quarantined is another.

They have been to several bars, Creighton bb games, the bus, several Walmart’s several times, bars, restaurants , bars....I think they’re scared to close bars because we have a lots of Irish. My daughter in law will be devastated. Youngest of 10 Irish Catholics. Her dad started an Irish band that played in every Irish bat in the city for 35+ yrs

Kind of ironic - we know that the Deep State and others use fear as a way to steer and control the people - we had the commie/nuke war threat until the Berlin Wall came down then it wasn’t viable anymore and up pops Globull Warming, which has many in fear that we’re gonna destroy the Earth even as we do less harm than past generations and none of the data actually supports anything but the earth’s climate and Mother Nature do not now, and never did have a “balance” and even if they did, we have no idea of how to maintain one or ‘fix’ things...all our efforts end up causing more harm....the coronavirus scare is no different - the panic-induced knee-jerking will cause more harm than the virus.
Folks who would be up in arms if the government decided to tell them they could not move freely are now begging that same government to lock them, and everyone else, down....I’d wager if, after doing that, the story ‘evolved” they would also go meekly to barb-wire surrounded camps/tent cities because the “latest info” said that’s the only way to stop it.
Even though we know that they use fear to guide and control us, so many can’t see it through the red haze of insane panic....they not only welcome the government controls, they beg for them...
And the fear mongers will try to leverage it...
Reminds me of a saying, by Ben Franklin, that many FReepers, who are now acting insane, used to showcase:
“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”
