Things are too busy for trolls.
As an intensivist, we are planning day for what would happen with increased demand. We are looking at using anesthesia circuits in OR for vents if need be, We are looking at several contingencies. I think the data point towars not becoming overwhelmed. We did not get overwhelmed with H1N1, and this is not presently as serious as H1N1. So historically, I think we will be OK.
But lets assume for the moment that we get overwhelmed. Can we transfer people to outlying hospital with telemedicine? Probably, can we think outside of the box, most likely. Are we preparing, yes we are. But I truly believe we are extrapolating numbers that are not Bourne out with the data.
Italy — socialized medicine, different cultural norms — and something I did not know, the oldest population in the EU. It makes sense that they would be in trouble. Perhaps what we should do is collect our resources at paces that have large elderly populations, South Florida, Scottsdale, and and places that are demographically old.

Nope, you are incorrect offhand. Most people site Influenza at 0.1%. If you follow the numbers based on Fauci — 1% is 10x more lethal than influenza — making it 0.1%.

Real doctors are not supposed to give diagnoses when they have not personally examined the patient. Supposed to be unethical. Armchair diagnosis, I believe it’s called.
Here locally in NW Washington, many folks are losing their jobs temporarily or having their hours reduced drastically. Driving thru Seattle is easy now, horrible before this, people are avoiding crowds except at grocery stores and Costco (Cabellas too).
A lot of grocers are trying very hard to find help - Fred Meyer, Safeway, etc. They need workers, they have supplies coming in daily.
Our service sector is not going to die. It is going to realign.
Food. Ammo. Firearms. Home entertainment. Bars, restaurants, indoctrination centers (schools) closing. Maybe America will learn about raising families and staying home. It hasn’t been that way since WWII.
