Her Mom and I have been trying to persuade her not to go. She will be flying from iad to fort lauderdale. Cheap tickets. Several of her friends scooped them up last minute and the air b&b is dirt cheap. Any thoughts on how to convince her to cancel would be helpful. She successful, single and is in her mid 20s and has just been told to work from home for the next 3 weeks.
Read up on Howard Hughes. Had everything in the world money could buy. But he never sought treatment for his paranoia. It killed him. Think about that. What is evident is we know have a “Howard Hughes Freeper” subgroup.

Ten years ago Swine Flu killed more young people than old people. I don’t remember any old people voluntarily shutting their lives down so they didn’t infect the young. They didn’t even consider it.

In many ways I agree with you.
But I will not discount a father’s concern over the safety of his daughter.
Also, to consider is the over hype of the situation. If you travel to a place on vacation and while you are gone our government bans travel to and from the place you have gone on vacation, your return trip could get complicated.
You could end up spending two weeks or more in a quarantine facility after you get back to the US.
Just because they are wrong doesn’t mean they won’t make your life miserable.

The answer to your first question was a no therefore your other questions dont apply. She usually works from home 2 days a week at a tech company. She has her own place and is very self sufficient.
