He might have had a lot more of that done by now if the deep state didn’t attack him for 2 1/2 years.

That Hanks picture was photoshopped into the setting from an old sporting event.

“Chinas first confirmed Covid-19 case traced back to November 17”
It’s a plausible date.
Many on this site knew it started sometime in late November.
You can back it out based on the R0.
Whether 17 Nov or 23 Nov, Patient 0 was in that time frame.
Something very nasty crawled out of the fetid sewers of Wuhan.
And NO, I do not believe this virus is a bioweapon. It is FAR to weak and indiscriminate. That alone nixes human origin. And I don’t care what people are reading and saying about HIV and other splices.
It’s bullshit.
It crawled out of the sewers of Wuhan.

I am so there.
I confess, I have a 6m supply.
I didn’t just rush out and buy that in Jan/Feb.
I’ve had it since Katrina.
This house was blocked in (all roads) by giant trees for 2 weeks after katrina. Didn’t get power or phone back for 6 weeks.
We knew that when we bought it a few years later.
I made a point, then, to have no less than a 6m supply.
I couponed, sale hunted and finally got my stash. I rotate it. It doesn’t take up that much room really. When I use an 8pk of Scott, i replace it when I go shopping again.
If everyone did that with even a 2 or 3 month supply (build it up over time) there wouldn’t BE panic buying when things go wonky.

Aw!
Hate to hear that!
Are you sure?

Has anyone heard any discussion about how these high profile people might have contracted the virus? The Hanks, the two Utah Jazz players, PM Trudeau’s wife, and others.
Earlier, there was always much discussion about how some of the first cases in any area might have contracted the virus, but I haven’t heard a word about how the above might have contracted it.

“so it’s just a matter of time”
Keep distance. Avoid closed spaces (if it’s air conditioned, avoid) and wash your hands and everything else.
You’ll be OK out in the stix.
I’ve been to PI many, many times. One of my best friends just left there a month ago, took his whole family on vacation.
Hell, I can still smell the outdoor grills and Mekong Whiskey.

ATTENTION CRUISERS. Here is what I got in the mail from NCL (besides an offer of upgrfade to Spa Balcony room for an extra $200)..tired..cant format
March 7, 2020Dear Valued Guests and Travel Partners,To provide you with peace of mind, I want to take this opportunity to personally update you on what we are doing at Norwegian Cruise Line to help ensure you have a safe, healthy and happy vacation experience with your friends and family. As you know, the safety and well-being of our guests and team members are our number one priority. We have a Chief Medical Officer on staff as well as dozens of medical professionals throughout our fleet , and we continue to consult with The World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to make the best decisions possible and take appropriate action as needed. We are very proud of the protocols and preventative measures we have in place to deal with current concerns regarding COVID-19, and I firmly believe that we have some of the most robust measures in place to protect our guests and team members. In addition to extensive cleaning and disinfection protocols on board all voyages and health screenings of passengers and crew members, we have been denying boarding to guests who have traveled from, visited or transited via high risk areas; and we have modified several sailings to avoid areas of concern. At the current time, our plans are to avoid any area that is denoted as a Level 4 - do not travel area by the State Department at the time of voyage. We will modify any itinerary visiting those areas approximately 30 days prior to arrival date to avoid last minute changes. As always, we will continue to monitor all State Department advisories and take appropriate action as necessary. For all our policies and procedures, please visit www.ncl.com.Additionally, I want to provide our guests and travel partners with reassurance, so I am very pleased to announce our new Peace of Mind policy. Simply put, for any voyage from March 10, 2020 through September 30, 2020, guests are free to cancel anytime up to 48 hours in advance of embarkation. Please note that this new policy applies to individual and group bookings only. Anyone choosing to cancel will receive a full refund in the form of a future cruise credit to be used for sailings that embark through December 31, 2022. This is by far the most consumer-friendly policy in the industry. We put our guests first! On a more personal note, I want to share that I am travelling with my family and friends to Europe in late May aboard one of our fantastic ships. Cruising is a fun and safe means of travel, and I want to ensure that you know that we walk the talk. I hope you will join me in exploring the world in the safety and comfort of an amazing Norwegian Cruise Line ship with your friends and family

“lying ^&*$$s!!!”
Not necessarily.
While slow to start, China took all the effective steps thereafter. Nothing else works.
It’s a tried and true formula, centuries old.
Quarantine. Isolation. Travel bans.

Well, it was ‘new’.
I think they didn’t recognize what it was until mid-December.
After that they covered it up for another month, the ^#E$^&*s!
BTW There’s a unit in Wuhan (UN or US) that looks for flu viruses to inform the choice of what’s in the flu vaccine.
Haven’t heard anything about that...

Isn’t the Puyallop Fair in the fall? I truly, truly hope that we are out of this by then!! Although iirc, the 1918 flu lasted about 18 months before it calmed down.
