Supposed to be a rally race here in a couple of weeks. Wonder if they’ll cancel it. They close down a few roads in my rural, gravel road “neighborhood”. I go to my buddy’s house and watch it from his front yard.

The idea is to keep the numbers exposed to CV low while we develop countermeasures so that it doesn’t kill 10 times as many as the flu.
That argument has long been settled.

The other day, Ronan Kelly of FluTrackers noticed that while flu numbers were decreasing, flu-like illness numbers were increasing in the following states: Washington, Oregon, Colorado, NJ, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
This is unusual, you can see it compared per past years data on the graphs.
I think rural schools will still be going. Chicago might have to shut schools down but a lot of the State is corn field country. Nearest neighbor, a mile away etc

DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) - The Iowa Department of Public Health reports two new confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus in Iowa, bringing the statewide total up to 16.
Officials said the two new cases are tied to the same Egyptian cruise as other 13 positive cases. One of the new cases was reported in Johnson County, which has reported 14 cases of the virus. The second case reported on Thursday was reported from Carroll County. A single case has been reported in Pottawattamie County.
