LT is out today.
Yesterday's thread is here:

Maybe and maybe not.
If you look at what happened after WWI and WWII, people seemed mostly to want to forget their troubles and enjoy themselves.
I think it was 9 by the end of yesterday. So 17 is pretty close to 2x.
“not that complicated”
One the R0 was known to be between 2 and 4, and once aerosol transmission was known, everything else was easy to predict.
The average 3rd grader could have done it.
Of course, the only wild card is Social Isolation. That can substantially slow the R0 and even bring it below 1 and thus allowing the virus to die out.
Lock downs work. China is proof.
Now it’s just matter of will.
You raise a good point.
What happened right after the 1918 pandemic? The Roaring 20’s! And then came 1929.
History doesn’t repeat, but it sure rhymes.

Ohio Department of Health believes 100,000 Ohioans are carrying coronavirus
Cases expected to double every 6 days
“With fewer people reporting for jury duty during the novel coronavirus outbreak, King County Superior Court judges are contacting attorneys involved in pending civil trials to let them know it could be 60 to 90 days before jurors are available to hear those cases”
Where I am in Texas, we can delay jury service up to six months. I plan to take advantage of every day of those six months, should I get the notice. If things are still hot then, well, they’ll have to live without me. Not worth losing myself and wife over it.
I think something similar happened after the Black Plague.
In many cases, it resulted in a loss of faith.
it doubles every two days and has been tracking that way pretty consistently. So tomorrow will be double of yesterday if it tracks.
I am so tired of the flu bros.
I kind of hope they get sick. Not die...but sick.
I hope they go to the hospital and have to be housed on a conference room on a cot.
I know thats not nice of me..,
We are a full two weeks behind—can’t catch up now..
Just math.
France wants people to limit heading out except when absolutely necessary
That lame statement from Macron is meaningless. Heading out to one is putting food on the table. Heading out for another means PaRtY TiMe!
And it is probably underreported by a multiple of somewhere between 25 to 50.
“The hot spots will do the military quarantine thing within two weeks”
7-10 days.
I’m in the same boat and trying really hard not to be. But they make it difficult.
If Trump has to now self-quarantine because of that Brazilian, that is going to send a huge message to people.
My guess—only 1,000 Ohioans have it, but doubling every three days.
100,000 cases = 15,000 critical—not happening _yet_.
When all this is over, this communist jerk needs to be put on trial. He enabled the Chinese lies, which put the whole earth at risk. Like I said in January, a virus in every pot.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus
@DrTedros
We are all in this together! #COVID19
The fact that the Health Departments don’t understand the numbers—either on the low side or the high side—is _really_ pathetic.
Greta will be one of the first to claim elitist status for any vaccines, and decry the slowness of the manufacturing sector in producing all the comforts she needs to maintain her elitism. As she fades away into irrelevance.

A charter flight carrying members of the Utah Jazz has landed back in Salt Lake City, league sources tell ESPN. It is immediately unclear if Rudy Gobert or Donovan Mitchell were on the flight from Oklahoma City. Both All-Stars have tested positive for the coronavirus.
