Yeah, what happens when the same farm workers who get e-coli on lettuce get this virus?

God I hope that’s true. I have found myself not believing or trusting information coming from lots of people these days.

Would Brazil lie about results either positive or negative? Or- is he showing a false negative? Or is he truly negative?

Strange days.

Hey, Ireland, you’re not closed if 99% is still open and you’re still letting people in.

AL- influenza-like illness ticking up.

This is concerning, and it’s happening in many states.

I should have done a soil test already. Blueberries grow wild here. USDA Soil survey says around ph of 5 here. I’ve never limed. Don’t want to lime potato patch. Low ph keeps scab away. Tomatoes do ok. Beets, nope. Might have to wing it with a little lime on part of the garden this year to grow certain things.

I don’t think they even know..remember about a month ago the CDC said one of the first US cases tested positive, then negative, then positive again

A negative COVID-19 test isn’t nearly as titillating as a positive test. It doesn’t fit the agenda or boost news cycles.

MS

“The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) is expanding access to COVID-19 testing. Physicians may now submit specimens to the Mississippi Public Health Laboratory or commercial labs without prior consultation with MSDH, just like any other lab test. This will streamline necessary testing as much as possible,” said Dr. Dobbs.

Additionally, Dobbs said the MSDH is expanding recommendations for long-term care visitors and mass social gatherings.

“We know that this virus is easily spread person to person, so we recommend limiting visitations and discontinuing any group social activities in long-term care facilities,” he said.

That’s about our soil PH too.

I didn’t test. Just sprinkled about 1 bag of lime (from lowes) over about 500sqft.

Anything that gets it closer to 7 is a good thing.

I also sprinkled some around the drip line and inside the drip line of our apple trees, fig trees and plum trees. Boy did THEY like that! Went crazy with new growth after I did that last May or so.

The SRI stuff is from cornell. Hold your nose if you have to but some really great ideas there for small holders/backyard farmergardeners.

My long term goal is to grow out several different ‘exotic’ varieties of rice and sell them locally. I was going to get a big head start on that this summer before ...virus.

AL

The case was confirmed in Montgomery County. The person had traveled to another state with confirmed coronavirus cases.

Officials are not releasing the age of the infected person. They say the patient had other chronic medical conditions and would be considered high risk. The patient is in stable condition right now.
