Continuation of the thread.
Hooray! As noted earlier, families can begin Spring Break early and flock to their fav tourist destinations!
Between last thread and this one, I now have nearly 1500 unread posts. Reading these threads is unsustainable for me (and, no doubt, for others as well).
I’m most interested in relevant news updates, like those found in these threads. Are there some reliable places online that offer mainly those updates, with at most a limited amount of insightful discussion?

Incubation period from exposure to symptoms—I believe it ranges from a couple of days to as long as six weeks, with the norm in the one to two week range (but a lot of variation).
I just posted a link on the women who infected five people before she showed symptoms—it looks like you can infect someone as least a few days before showing symptoms—again probably a lot of variation.

Seriously, this is an economic factor of the virus that should be considered.
We need demand, and charging credit cards 34 times the interest on a ten year Treasury Bill ain't gonna do it.
Usually, flu viruses spread faster in cold weather, but obviously, this coronavirus spreads quickly in warm weather. I haven’t kept up with temperatures across the country, whether it’s been unseasonably warm all over.

As of 8 March 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed and verified 12 more cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore. Of these:
Nine are part of the cluster involving a private dinner function at SAFRA Jurong (333 Boon Lay Way) on 15 February;
One is linked to a previous case;
One is an imported case; and
One is currently unlinked.

Beginning on 02/28, the number of cases has been doubling, with constancy, every two days.
Pushing that doubling rate forward, IF it remains constant
03.11...1100 cases
03.13... 2200
3.15... 4400
3.17... 8800 (past containment here?)
That’s a bit over one week from now
14 days, Two weeks from now, if the trend holds...
...144,000 cases

If that is his strategy and I’m starting to think it is, it may be his biggest blunder yet. It may cost his votes from deplorables that will turn on him for what people will say he is misleading and hiding the truth from them, ie, just like a typical deep state swamp politician.

Because some people have idiotic moments ...of letting their guard down..or I guess feeling invincible..or that it can’t happen to me.
Case in point...me today. Now I have Germs that could be Wuhan flu all over me because of an inconsiderate woman who didn’t care what she was spreading to people who may be vulnerable. Hopefully it was just a cold. But she sure was dry coughing A LOT.
Lesson learned.
I guess China didn’t lock down China as locked down as China said they were going to lock down. The tourist flights to Iran sure didn’t help Iran, and Bali, a big tourist destination, didn’t help either.
Interesting how they went from 2 to over 100 in 2 days....
China is about 80% recovered in terms of factory operation and supply chain.
It has been warm in the South compare to the last couple of years. I am debating if the virus being carried to South Florida and not spreading on it’s own.

Some folks here have made the case that air conditioning can negate the benefit of the warm climate...we don’t know for sure of course...
