Continuation of the thread.
Yet the CDC still has strident requirements for who can be tested.
Many in CA who were on the first infected cruise still cannot get a test if they have mild symptoms or no symptoms. Same with those in WA with no known contact with a verified infected person.
Only those who show up at the hospital in bad shape get tested.
This is more directly related to Saudi production, and Saudis refusal to trim production. The low price while a negative to the oil patch and oil related trading, that negative is offset by the stimulative affect of lower prices at the retail level, aiding personal and commercial transport.
The local health officials just have to get tough—they have a lot of authority and they need to use it.
Sandra Smith hasn’t been seen on Fox either, since she announced that she had a cold.
I do notice the little things more. Like how a lot of people are just pigs - and sneeze without covering their nose or cough without covering their mouth.
I've seen mention on these these threads about how poor the hygiene practices are in China. Folks, they could stand some improvement here to.
Those CDC requirements were due to a lack of tests available.
The Vice President has indicated that the requirements will be reduced as more tests become available.

I am extremely concerned about the #Coronavirus outbreak, and the impact it is having in Florida. Ive written to @DHS_Wolf, @CDCDirector, FAA Administrator & Santa Rosa & Lee County Health Departments requesting info on the cases of Coronavirus-related deaths in those counties.

As stated earlier, visitors and residents should make informed decisions based on facility policy. They should also use common sense and good hygiene.
“(to avoid asymptomatic spreaders)”
No such thing. The state of the virus in which it can affect others arises only when an infected person is showing symptoms - already sickened by the infection. Can someone “appear” to not have symptoms (and even deny they do).
Yes. Anyone with any flu, flu-like symptoms should self-quarantine; order in their food and have delivery folk leave it at the door. But people should do that for flu anyway.
Gov. Scott, have one of your staffers read our threads!
The good thing about 4th of July celebrations?
Mostly just family gathering, to fire off fireworks and bbq.
Bad news?
Fireworks are ... MIC :(

Winfield hospital cancels event - coronavirus fears
Lots of people stocking up and non perishables are definitely selling more. No rubbing alcohol to be found and toilet paper being picked apart.
On the link you shared it has the US cases up to 561. Wasn’t it just only a 100 yesterday? It feels like I blink and then the cases are growing exponentially. Will it be over 1000 cases by this time next week?

Nay.
I know that’s the official position, but it’s just not true.
There are sick people with known exposure in home quarantine that still cannot get tested.
