Continuation of the thread.
I don’t really have an issue if the assisted living facility doesn’t have policy/procedures to evaluate visitors, check for fevers, supply sanitizer, etc. However, the policy (or lack thereof) should be clearly posted at each entrance for all to see so that residents and visitors can make informed decisions.
This is a sh*t show.
My wife has worked at old folks homes for 8 years now. For the first six, we were sick all the time from what she brought home. Guess we’re immune to a lot now
I don’t think Trump can.
His tax cut was an increase for many (after the initial phase). His response to this has been “Keep the markets up!”
Now, he has shown a great ability to pivot quickly, and may do that soon. It is to late though.
“This is a sh*t show.”
Calm down. It is far from that.
WRT the economy, anyone have any recent PRC shipping numbers? Would like to know if, since “all is well” in XI-land, if they have started shipping again.
Got it - thanks!
The slide at 30:17 is the slide to see. No COVID-19 in the air, but testing at air vents showed COVID-19.
I’m hopeful some additional research is ongoing now.
I think staying away from people who are obviously sick, social distancing to the extent possible (to avoid asymptomatic spreaders), and not touching common-use surfaces are all good ways to reduce risk.
I’m really worried Trump is more worried about re-election than anything else
Early reports out of China suggest an R0 of 3.8.
With incubation of 6 days average. But up to 20 days.
We will get worse than Biden - we will get his VP, who will be chosen to appease the nuttiest leftists in the Democrat Party.
Ha! Good catch for “sex at birth.” Gotta keep things politically correct on the Pacific Coast.
Many of us are most concerned about the health care workers, because obviously they will be needed to take care of patients—we do not want them getting sick.
Yeah, I dont think we know enough about the virus not to take extreme precautions, from travel to PPE
I don't know if that is applicable here. A lot depends on the test sensitivity/specificity, testing protocols, etc. Their tests may not have been sensitive enough (speculation).
Last one I saw was pretty dismal. But that was Monday.
Baltic Dry Index is collapsing, and oil is falling faster. Expect a lot of red states to lose jobs VERY soon.
Anyway, back to the virus. No one seems to be giving to craps about it in the US. The cases in Nebraska were suspected for a week, but the CDC did NOT test because they “didn’t come form China”.
They DID however, come from England and were in close contact with COVID sufferers there.
Sanitizer stuff is posted, but many of the people there have some cognitive impairment, including my mom and dad.
Who is that beast who lost the race in GA? That is who everyone wants for some reason. I am befuddled by these people.

Defying the advice of Santa Clara County, the San Jose Sharks hockey team played on Thursday & declined to cancel their Saturday & Sunday home games. The San Jose Earthquakes, a Major League Soccer team, also declined to cancel their Saturday home game.
