Continuation of the thread.
GEORGIA
MORGAN COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) Governor Brian Kemp’s office confirms that patients who test positive for the coronavirus will be quarantined at a state park in Georgia.
Part of Hard Labor Creek State Park in Morgan County is being prepared for an intake of COVID-19 patients.
...
This part of the park will be off-limits to visitors. Preparations are already underway, as officials have brought in emergency trailers with related materials en route.
To prevent the disruption of ongoing operations, access to this specific part of Hard Labor Creek State Park is strictly limited to official use, according to the governor’s office.
There currently aren’t any patients scheduled to be transferred to Hard Labor Creek State Park. Once the quarantine site is set up, the Department of Public Safety will provide security for the area

That is a solid approach—more states should follow GA’s lead.

Got word today that a person who works at a large office building in the heart of the downtown San Francisco financial district has tested positive.
My son will be in Kuwait Wed-Friday. Then back to Ireland where he says people are in true fear.
Madrid SP metro—cases more than doubled in last day to 580.
Lochner
Thanks. I haven’t been watching him. Didn’t even really know who he was. I’ve seen references to him on this thread, but he obviously is keeping up to the second on this. I hope he doesn’t burn out, that he gets enough sleep, and that he doesn’t lose his day job.
Italians are shuttering down
All of Italy is on lock down. Not just the north
“The decree provides for banning all public events, closing cinemas, theatres, gyms, discos and pubs, funerals, weddings and all sport events, including Serie A matches. All schools and universities will remain close until 3 April”
I believe it is called a “cytokine storm”
Lochner does this several hours a day, and each day seems to get longer than the last.
This is citizen journalism at its finest, like we have been doing here at FR for decades.
They go to conferences for the free booze and nooky.
YouTube says the guy’s name is Steve Lookner; no matter it’s guy you’re referencing on these threads.
The quarantine of two weeks or longer changes everything. You may need twice the number of employees for one. Or at least a team of subs. The good news for those germaphobes that stay certified corona-free, work offers should be aplenty once we find a path through the fog.
President Trumps remarks will also be carried on CSPAN3.
I am spelling impaired—my memory is going as well. :-)
He's performing a valuable service. I hope he is able to keep his mental health through this. It's pretty intense, and that kind of intensity over a long period of time can cause depression and other kinds of disorders, especially once the pressure is off. Just based on my life experience.
“persuaded CDC”
That’s the problem. CDC always caves. They need to step up and do the job they’re hired to do.
Congress has grown too big for it’s britches and need to be taken down a few rungs. Name the congresscritters and make them get tested live on tv.
Rep. Gohmert (sp) was told he was in proximity to CPAC guy at CPAC—Gohmert is choosing _not_ to self quarantine.
Stomach upset (hence Bufferin)
Reyes’ Syndrome (for some youngsters)
