COVID-19: Thailand scraps mandatory quarantine for tourists from virus hotspots
Thailand has scrapped a plan to order compulsory quarantine for visitors from countries and territories hit hard by COVID-19. That would have applied to China - including Hong Kong and Macau - Italy, Iran and South Korea. Thai health authorities now say that they are asking travellers from those areas to stay indoors and to report their health status daily.

Testing update on 20/20 from NYC doctor in a big hospital.
The hospital cannot do its own tests.
They order tests for patients with severe symptoms—private labs do them.
Bottom line—the NY CV positive numbers are _way_ understated at this point.
Expect them to explode in the next week or so.
Remember—there are several _thousand_ New Yorkers in voluntary quarantine awaiting tests!
We are going to see a lot more panic buying this weekend.
When it is far away in Washington you can be in denial.
When it hits your city then you start to worry about your supplies.
I am going to Costco in the morning to buy some more things and to see what’s up.
No free samples for me.

I dont know anything about govt rules and regs but Trump needs to sh##can the CDC in this mess and let someone else take over. Or do something.

CDC is just incapable of being pro-active.
I am a retired .gov employee and my agency had the same problem—they could not get ahead of any problem, no matter how minor. They were always reacting to the latest crisis—usually after a lot of damage had already been done.
That’s the smartest thing anyone has said yet!

I also tossed a tub of Clorox disinfecting wipes in my car in case of an emergency and I have some nitrile gloves in my console should they ever come in handy.
Also, since both heat and UV disinfect, I’m figuring that especially once summer comes, I can easily disinfect my car by letting it sit out in the sun all day. That metal gets HOT even here in NY or NH.
That does not include the thousands of Grand Central people that they don’t know about who commuted to NJ, CT, and all over NY.
