Kittitas County on Saturday announced that a 67-year-old woman tested positive for COVID-19. She is currently in home isolation with her spouse, public health officials said.
Kittitas Co. is about 65 miles east of Seattle, on the other side of the Cascade Mts.
In Clark County, a man in his 70s is in isolation after testing positive for the novel coronavirus.
Clark Co. is at the very south of WA state, just across the state line from Portland, Oregon - so quite a ways from Seattle/King Co.

Collins singled out a potential treatment researched through the Antiviral Drug Discovery and Development Center based at the University of Alabama at Birmingham during a presentation at the university. Remdesivir, a compound developed by pharmaceutical company Gilead Sciences, has already been given to infected patients in China and Nebraska in the hope it can reduce serious complications. No treatments for the new virus have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
Treatments from Alabama center might halt deadly coronavirus, but obstacles remain
I’m trying to figure it out it over my head. But, thanks very much. Looks like it may be the cure.Gotta wonder if this is what the Israelis are working on.?
I am calling the CDC response the “No aerosol bro”.
The virus was probably in HVAC system vents and eventually around to infecting a bunch more folks.
Sheesh...how many employees do they have? This is what I fear will happen in hospitals/clinics....
No.
Everyone else is working on a vaccine.
It’s easy to understand why.
vaccines can be mandated and are indemnified. Your population uptake is everyone. You have no worries about lawsuits.
Drugs like the Gilead compound aren’t going to be mandated. They’re not indemnified either.
VP giving a CV presser, in FL, now.
Asking cruise industry to ‘step up’ their efforts in insuring all is being done for passengers, crews and the communities the pax return to.
Do you think the CDC switched their messaging on transmission to spread by hands mostly because they do not have enough masks? Earlier, they said it was spread through the air as well.
The two deaths confirmed Friday are a man in his 70s in Santa Rosa County and an individual, also in the 70s, in Lee County. Both traveled internationally.

Lookner just said another person from that APAIC conference tested positive (person now in LA). So wonder which hotel it was in? Lots of congresscritters were there and Pence and Pompeo.
Yes, exactly!
How awful.
Bad enough to perform a regular rescue operation....now, this one involved quarantined/suspected COVID-19 victims.
Rescuing in full PPE cannot be easy.
Georgia health officials have confirmed three new cases of COVID-19, bringing the state’s total number of cases up to five.
In a statement released Saturday, the Georgia Department of Public Health says that the new cases involve residents from Cobb County and Fulton County as well as a previously tested individual from Floyd County.
Officials say the Cobb County resident had recently returned from Italy and is now isolated at their home.
Health officials: Possible third coronavirus case in Georgia
The Fulton County individual has been hospitalized. Officials do not yet know how they were exposed to the virus.
The third case involved a 46-year-old female went who went to a hospital in Rome complaining of flu-like symptoms. Hospital officials said she didn’t meet the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and GDPH criteria for COVID-19 testing, so she was treated and released. After she began to feel worse, the woman was eventually tested. The test has now confirmed that she has COVID-9. Officials say she has been hospitalized.

Didn’t CPAC have a case as well?
Stay tuned on these.
If I am right and this stuff can get into air vents, expect to see a lot of prominent testing positive when they get around to testing them.
