You will not die from this.
The CDC is pumping test kits into the system. The numbers will go up. Not the best start, but they seem to be getting their act together. In the US, cases are lowbut spreading.
The death rate should not be your concern.
Supply Chain disruption should be expected
No one trusts the China numbers. But are they high or low?
I hope we are all going to be constructive and informative. There is no need for Drive by trolling or Hysteria.
The last few days have been interesting, but folks are started to get frazzled...
Lets be respectful, at least.
If I had tickets to the Final Four I would sell them.
Its a new week...Lets Corona...
Tar Heel fans are thinking, “Well if there was a year that we had to suck, this would be the year.”
The Gadsden Flag motto should be updated to “Don’t Sneeze on Me”.
Feeling like I can’t keep up. And that’s just with the threads.
Good one!
March madness?
Can I have that in writing with expressed guarantees?
I spent several years photographing college basketball playoffs.
I miss the fun of it (d3 and D2 mostly...about ten national championships.)
I do not miss being in an arena for four days, in tight quarters with mammoth large men and women sweating on me.
I would always come home sick.
What is a coronavirus test like? How are CDC kits handled? Here are the details:
https://www.sacbee.com/news/local/health-and-medicine/article240733946.html
Even if this test had been available before tomorrow, basically only a couple of hospital labs in America could even do this test.
Since, it basically requires a very high tec lab and highly trained people to do the test.
It still has to be sent by to CDC for a real diagnosis.
So how were the so called patients tested and declared that they had the CoronaVirus.
Try Presumptive Diagnosis not a real diagnosis.
So we will probably not have any real Definitive Diagnosis of CoronaVirus patients until probably after this week is over.
Presumptive Diagnosis are similar to assuming a patient has this virus.
What happens when we assume the results of something that is complicated?
Have someone let me know. I will send the estate 0.05.
As someone over 70, with some underlying medical issues, I think you for this information.
here is our first thread....cant believe we are at this point

Its now in Mexico(First in Chiapas) but if Trump closes the border he will be called racist and stuff..after all closing the border and not letting all these infected people in to cough on us is a doggy no no
I thinks tomorrow they are opening up the testing. I think a lot of teaching Universities (Like UMASS medical school) will be allowed.
I am not going to make predictions of numbers, but I am thinking the known cases will be much higher by the end of the week.
BUT, those cases are here TODAY. We need to keep that in mind. It will be a week or two before we get good numbers good growth.
I havent heard about contact tracing systems yet.
Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.
The British Health System spy is on the page with comment 251 (I dont have the post number) but if anyone wants to entertained go look.
Sure I'll give you a lifetime guarantee.
You dropping dead renders the guarantee null and void.
You've got my name on it!
See my post #9.
Costco and Trader Joes were MOBBED today. And this silly panic is just getting started!
My read on this:
The low testing rates are a blessing—gives you extra time for shopping to get what you need to comfortably handle a local quarantine. Don’t make excuses—just do it.
The virus is here. Everywhere. We live in an age of international travel, and tourists from Italy alone would be adequate to start the wheel rolling in all major metro areas. The virus has a long latency period and most people who carry it will have no symptoms.
The fatality risk is very low.
On the other hand, quarantine (with no notice) is a very real risk after large scale testing is done. The tests will be publicized, they will cause panic, and local .gov will act with quarantines.
Just prep—just do it.
Send my estate what? You just said I can’t die.
