Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were facing an angry backlash today as their £20million security bill looks set to fall squarely on British taxpayers after Canada refused to keep paying. Canadian police confirmed last night it would stop assisting with security for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex when they step down as working royals and become private citizens after Megxit on March 31. This means the cost of round-the-clock protection for the couple and baby Archie will fall solely to the taxpayer-funded Metropolitan Police, despite the couple leaving the UK for North America.

I agree, but Charles may see this as a way to show strength of which he has lacked in the public eye. I will bet Charles is boiling over this and that will get into the media and he will have no choice but to reign Harry in.

I don’t particularly care much one way or another about the British royals, but this is an interesting study in how marrying the wrong person can bring grief to your family.
The character of the royal family in the UK is one of quiet duty. Their main duty these days is to represent their country in a collected and dignified manner. There’s lots of emphasis on responsibility and service, or so it appears to me as an outsider.
That is the environment the prince was raised in. He married a girl from Hollywood though, which is pretty much the opposite of responsibility and duty. Hollywood is all about me me me, and is a town whose greatest export is narcissism. This was a clash between narcissistic values and values of responsibility.
It appears narcissism won this round because she apparently has succeeded in separating the prince from his family.
Moral of the story: be very cautious about who you marry. Especially if you’re a man. Very especially if you’re a wealthy man or in a position of some kind of power, authority, or prestige.
How will that happen?

I'd be embarrassed to be so publicly whipped as Harry is. He must have inherited the Duke of Windsor's genes. Reminds me of losers in history like Marc Antony, who betrayed Rome over Cleopatra.
It is very entertaining to watch this stupid broad lead Harry around by his scrotum.
At some point he will get tired of her and they will divorce. It is inevitable. The Queen and the family are trying to wait it out. When it does happen Me-Again will be out in the cold. The child will be back in the U.K. with the family and they will buy her off like they did with Fergie and to a lesser degree Diana.
Yep. Unless Charles dies, he WILL BE the next King. Period.
