Continuation of Coronavirus live Thread. 4.
Ya.
That hospital lost 100 employees/etc for 2 weeks.
Wonder how many of that number are because CDC refused to test when the doc/hospital wanted to test.
Long time reader just subscribed. Just wanted to share I found this web site that post daily updates on Coronaviridae - some news reports others scientific.

Some require some basic knowledge of alpha, beta, delta and gamma forms and RNA genomics
Yah, Israel too. I've asked that question like a half a dozen times now when people say it's a hoax or bs. So far nobody has answered it.
Dow premarket is down 130 points.
Stocked up some extra provisions at walmart today. Will pick up more tomorrow.
That is my plan for tomorrow as well—I am well stocked on most stuff, just topping off a little extra...
Asian markets are taking a big hit, too. Japan off over 4% now.
And if nothing happens, i just did a month of grocery shopping ahead of time.
Were these brand spanking new employees???? Because those protocols are normally in writing and there is an annual training.
Not only that, if I was employed in such a capacity, I’d have let my fingers do the walking on the internet and employment website, and determined what I thought I needed to have. And I would have made sure I had it.
Is it possible that some DemocRAT wanted to botch the response?
Welcome. Just to be clear, that's your website? Or you made your screen name to match the one on the website?
It’s going to be a another rough day.
The PPT is due to show up, aren’t they? If Obama were president they would have pumped billions in there already.
I work in the food industry for a major CPG firm that does almost 8% of all grocery sales and we have ready to ship to retail 3 -5 months of food-stock up if you want but no need to panic in US. We heard all this with SARS, Ebola and Y2k. We just met with some of our PHds that work with food safety.
Keep this in perspective, even if 250,000 US citizens were to be infected and the mortality rate was 3.5%
there would be 8500 deaths, tragic yet car deaths annual are 33,565 and I don’t see many people refusing to get in cars. And our mortality rate will be much lower here than China because we are better at antibody treatment, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc NASDAQ: REGN is the company based here that shut down ebola with anti-bodies is already working with HHS on anti bodies, Vertex based here is working on virus and we are better at Sepsis, check out on Google Dr Marik new protocol and we are better at preventing organ failure.
And we know there are existing drugs that may already work, For example, teicoplanin, oritavancin, dalbavancin, and monensin are approved antibiotics that have been shown to inhibit corona- and other viruses in the laboratory. These are beign brought to bear jsut now and not getting the publicity because that doesn’t sell.
What we are not any better at is NOT Panicking or not pushing the sensational stories-after all People Magazine is the most popular US Magazine

Thank you!
Interesting
Thanks for the links, and welcome to FR.
CDC said during their House hearing this morning that all personnel were provided with masks
But maybe the HHS ‘whistleblower’ can explain why HHS hasn’t trained their people in infection control and emergency procedures. Isn’t that like, their job?
Capitol Hill usually leaks worse than a sieve but not on this. Now, that is spooky.
It is quite the curiosity that these mostly vancomycin-like antibiotics have any effect at all on viruses, much less a critically important one
We previously reported that teicoplanin, a glycopeptide antibiotic which has routinely been used in the clinic to treat bacterial infection with low toxicity, significantly inhibits the invasion of cells by Ebola virus, SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV, via specifically inhibiting the activity of cathepsin L.
