Trouble is, China’s economy is now set to implode—it was already shakey. Best silver lining to me—people might be incentivized to set up alternate supply chains and quit depending on China for important stuff.

I agree on this silver lining. We shouldn’t be reliant on another country for the majority of medicines etc. Bring it home.

Start with face masks. My brother works in health industry. Hospitals are stock piling the masks as they tend to do with any health scare...but the masks are made in China. Probably easier to get up and running than the drug end of things.

He certainly has some notion that socialism in Venezuela is really being hampered by the USA taking actions to tank their economy—I watched quite a few of his Vids a couple of years ago. He monitors Navy activity and his focus is on S. America for a lot of them.

I dunno. Right now—anti viral drugs and N95 masks and protective gear are needed, but can you keep that market once China undercuts your price to the point that you don’t even recover the cost of goods sold?
Their 5g phones are crappy so maybe there’s something there. Or some sort of food—I really don’t want to eat anything from China ever and I’ll pay extra for good food.
