Several posters today have been criticizing Mitt Romney by simply saying “Mormon”* or something similar, as if that explains it all. I’m sure that every religion has someone who has done something foolish, but somehow, their religion is never mentioned. To help everyone understand that it is not Romney’s religion that is making him act like a buffoon, I’ve compiled a brief list of people that have helped make America great who were either raised Mormon or became Mormon. (In alphabetical order by last name.)
Gutzon Borglum: Carved Mt. Rushmore
John Moses Browning: Created the Colt M1911 pistol among many other firearms.
Clayton Christensen: Author of “The Innovator’s Dilemma” called the most influential business idea of the early 21st Century.
Stephen R. Covey: Author “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”.
Henry Eyring: Chemist, Developed the “Transition State Theory” used by others to make Nobel Prize-winning discoveries.
Philo Farnsworth: Inventor of Television.
Harvey Fletcher: Inventor of Stereophonic Sound.
James Fletcher: Head of NASA during development of the space shuttle.
Gladys Knight: Singer.
Don Lind: Astronaut.
Ed “Big Daddy” Roth: “Rat Fink” car designer.
Brent Scowcroft: National Security Advisor.
Also, Eleven Medal of Honor recipients were LDS.
*Proper name: “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints”

Like the effort it will send a message to him but that’s it. Recall efforts have been struck down in two federal court cases & one state court. Recall will likely take a constitutional amendment.
Now having said the above, Clarence Thomas (I think I remember reading he commented on this!) thinks there might be a way if one structures the argument around the 9th & 10th amendments. Hasn’t been tried, hope the legal beagles involved in this are thinking about along those lines.
The worst thing we can do would seem to be put a RINO prez in office with a R Congress.
I would like to know the record of W appointed federal judges, since we are commonly told it is all about judges. Callie Granade, anyone?
When he was Texas governor, W was acknowledged to have helped move the TX supreme court to the left, in addition to ballooning the size of the state budget.
How ironic that “respectable conservative” Romney is far worse on just about every issue, than “New York liberal” Trump. Moreover, Trump is better on the issues than all but a handful of conservative Republicans (who constitute Trump’s defenders!)
It IS the ideology that is the problem.

When the DT “pussy tape” news broke, there were 11 LDS members in Congress. All publicly criticized DT to various degrees, with Hatch’s criticism the mildest. That uniformity, as if all felt compelled to follow a script provided by Mormon Inc. is what scares me.

Speaking of bigotry shall we focus on Mormons history of racism - Brigham Young was a huge racist as well as a pervert who liked little girls. Romney claimed it was ‘secretly’ videoed. I was there and a the video guy set up the the big old cam a few feet from Mitt and it had the usual red light when recording.
Mitt repeatedly said he was videoed without his knowledge.
I have a good memory but it sometimes fails me in embarrassing ways. I am not inclined to think that Romney lied when a lapse of memory is also plausible.
The ‘proper name’ is in itself a deception for the Mormon Jesus is not the Word of God Jesus.
You’re an idiot. Everything you just said can be said about every major religion when you look at it with a bigoted perspective or twist it to suit your agenda. Want to apply your logic to Catholicism? Protestantism? Judaism? Atheism? We can go on.

The are always Mormon first, America whenever its convenient they don't sign up for the military and they elect traitors - whats not to like. Mormons are takers. No there are many logical reasons why Mormonism is not only bad for the soul its been bad for the nation.
The only problem I have with the Jews, Protestants and the Catholics is they didn't have a crusade to kill the Mormons.

Actually, I’m a Methodist. But this isn’t about me, it’s about your bigotry. You display it shamelessly, and apparently proudly, so calling you a bigot is simply a statement of fact.
Trying to finesse the race card is just your weak response to a truth even you are starting to see. Don’t worry, you can recover if you only try a little introspection. But meanwhile, you are a bigoted fool.
