That’s so age of romanticism.
RINOmney is a snake, no matter whether he wears the magic underoos or not.
My first thought after he declared that he was going to vote to impeach Trump was, he’s hiding behind his religion; he was only mentioning religion to give him cover for his dastardly act.
His only cause for voting against Trump is his deep hate for Trump, and all of his statements in the last few years are proof of that.
Romney is a coward and is just justifying his vote against Trump by using religion. The people in his religion should be condemning him for trying to hide behind their religion.
He needs to be removed from the senate for being so hateful and so petty and for lying his ass off.
I agree. His religion isn’t the problem causing his deplorable behavior. Try instead intense jealousy for starters
Thank you for your contribution. Though as a Catholic I have my issues with the Mormon religion, on average they support issues that Catholics should be supporting more than self-professed Catholics (Like Nancy Pelosi and John Kerry) do.
It is easy enough to find reasons to attack Romney without bringing up Mormonism. Back in 2012, I refused to support Romney, and I stated that if he took “good” Mormon positions, I would have been able to support him (as I support Mike Lee 90% of the time).
We are not enough of a majority to have these kinds of fights. It should be enough to know that Mrs. Clinton or any of the Dem candidates would be a disaster for Mormons, Catholics, Protestants, Evangelicals, Observant Jews and civilization/freedom-loving non-believers alike.

Romney’s problem isn’t “Mormon”.
Romney’s problem is “Jealous Egotistical Asshole”, plain and simple.
I agree with you entirely on the point that it isn’t Mormonism that has made Romney such a jerk.
He’s a jerk in the same way that every jerk is - and there have been traitorous jerks from every religion.
Jerks like Romney all put their own egoistical and material desires ahead of what is Right.
That doesn’t seem very ‘spiritual’ to me (I don’t personally like the term ‘religious’.)
Yeah, and Joseph Smith and Brigham Young were shining examples too.

Btw, if he needed to hear more witnesses to prove to himself that Trump was NOT guilty, then Romney has our entire system of jurisprudence upside down. And he voted to convict a man even though he just admitted he didn’t have enough evidence to convict.
The reason his religion is pictured as a problem is because he was a carpetbagger from another state and became senator of Utah only because of his religion. The only other carpetbagger that I can think of that comes into a state and immediately is elected to the US Senate was Hillary and it was because of New York’s state religion ,liberalism.
Yes, but if a solid non-Mormon conservative ran for senator from Utah, the Utahns would vote for the Mormon RINO over the conservative.
Romney should join the Democrat party; that’s where people go when they want to pretend to be religious while violating everything their professed religion stands for.
He would not have been able to carpetbag his way into a Senate seat were it not for the Mormon religion.
